For those burned by hackneyed movies
Verified purchase
Courageous Love is a surprisingly good movie. Considering the title and a few of the reviews, I thought this movie would be unbearably cheesy. But I gave it a chance, and was pleasantly surprised. Where I thought for sure I would find wooden acting, there was engaging acting. And where I thought I would find a stuffy business movie, I found a closer look into humanity. And it looked hopeful.
For those burned by the onslaught of mundane movies, cheer yourself up and watch Courageous Love. It'll do you good.

~Georgia Belle

P.S. Children can watch this fairly well. There is one fairly unsettling scene of a street "bum" crying. There is also an abusive co-worker who, near the beginning, gets drunk at a business party and punches Alex. Alex is then seen with a bloody lip, smiling bashfully as he is tended to by his sister. It won't do any harm to skip those scenes, if need be.
Besides that, there are no other visually scary scenes (although they do briefly mention parents dying) and the one kiss scene at the end is shielded and brief. (In fact, I think the actors are not even kissing. Which is a healthy win-win for everyone.)

Great story!

This film has warmth, humor, and a plot that is ever moving and holds your attention. Pretty creative storyline! Tragedy, brokenness, uncertainty, struggle, deceit, vulnerability…issues we all deal with in real life, but this film presents HOPE!

Seeking love from imperfect people, seeking relationships without any real substance, being swept up in the emotion and experience will only be disappointing. But finding love from a constant God who never changes and His love is never ending towards us, a love that never fails is eternally rewarding and life giving! Finding a relationship with a “person” who although also imperfect has had character and qualities fashioned into their soul by a God who died for them and thus they can see what really matters and shares that with you, is a REAL gift!

I have viewed many films. Some, although great, I would never purchase, because you know the ending. Others, may have been cute, but had no real substance and were empty. Nothing worth keeping. But this film, although it could have it’s critics of this or that, had a storyline that I could watch over and over. Although I could watch this for free on Amazon Prime, I am going to purchase the DVD for future viewing and to support this group for their hard work and good product! Additionally, the film score, “Love Never Fails” is beautiful as well, and it would be nice to be able to purchase that.

PS Just a thought for the couple criticisms on starting would I behave if both of my parents were just killed? 🤔

Such a great movie! (Courageous Love)

I knew this was going to be a great movie when within the first two minutes. Boardroom lessons, real life characters, a layered story, and a phenomenal cast and crew make this one to watch and to go back to time and time again. All I can say is, I would love to see more from this director, this cast, etc!

Jared Withrow (who plays the male lead) - wow - first movie I've watched of his. Jared is such a strong actor, who brings the skill of nuance to every look and great cadence to every sentence. Loved it.
Jessica Koloan (who plays the female lead) - great job and brought natural, real, and authentic charm to the role, which is SO difficult to pull off.
Their chemistry is off the charts by the way.

Now onto the secondary characters who felt like the leads in their own stories - loved Kristina Kaylen as Kayla - delivered above and beyond - and Patricia Mauceri. It's so odd to see Tim Kaiser play a positive character, but he was wonderful as well!

I rarely write movie reviews, but definitely a must watch. Thanks and congratulations to the entire team!

A Value Worth Living
Verified purchase
When it came to making a choice, Alex was willing to lose the company to avoid having someone he knew was not guilty and clearing her name. Michelle and her sister will willing to go in the back door to also clear her name and between Alex & Michelle, they not only cleared her name, but saved the company. Michelle also touched many lives including Ron.
A wonderful movie worth watching, again!

Enjoyable Christian Movie
Verified purchase
With all the shoot 'em up, violent movies out there, it is so refreshing to find a movie that's interesting, romantic, intrigue and a happy ending all without profanity and no plot. It's not a preachy movie either, it's definitely Christian (which I am) but it was written very well that anyone can watch and enjoy. We need more good clean movies like this.

Encouraging and Uplifting Film About Integrity! Great Plot!!
Verified purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was wholesome, heart-warming and up-lifting. Yes, I thought the scene about the employee sisters accessing their company computer in the middle of the night with the help of a director was unrealistic, but this unfortunate part of the script was greatly offset by a truly intricate and original plot. What I liked best about the film is that it conveyed Biblical values in a way that was both interesting and entertaining. There was absolutely nothing negative or off-color in this film.

Could there have been better acting? In some scenes I suppose so. But too many people (reviewers) care more about "acting" than they do the garbage message from the films they watch filling their brains.

GREAT FILM--Thank you!

An Important Message

I too hate it when I inherit a multi-million dollar corporation. What is a guy supposed to do when he is confronted with having to live a life of luxury and excess? Well, thank god (literally) that this film exists to show us the way. Now we will know what to do when we must be forced to drive $300,000 dollar cars. How would I have ever known how to own multiple luxury apartments in downtown New York if it were not for the guidance and wisdom of these film makers?

So, do I recommend the film? Well if I said no, you should respond as did the prosecutor in this films court scene, who gave one of the most compelling arguments I have ever heard in my life. "Don't you mean yes?".

Slow, dull, painful to watch. Move along...
Verified purchase
The only good actor was the computer hacker guy from the company. Purple shirt in one scene. The acting is wooden. The screen writing was terrible, predictable, and over done. They left nothing to guess at. Slow pacing. Painful to watch. The videography wasn't too bad. They should try again with all different people. Although, I don't think it would help.
