Very Disappointed

It started out as a good storyline but then they had to go and throw in some homosexuality. That drove me to terminate the movie. Bring back the good wholesome movies for the majority of Americans - traditional families striving for high moral values.

Hard to watch

Maybe this could have been a cute story if the main character hadn't been so unpleasant. We don't even know why she's so nasty, she just is. I finally couldn't take it any longer and just skipped to the end. Even then, with everything neatly tied up in a happy Christmas bow, she still had all the charisma of a wet rag. (One fun note: the news station was WXMS -- white Christmas. They also showed the street sign "34th Street", another nod to a famous Christmas movie.)

A REALLY DELICIOUS AND SWEET ROMANTIC COMEDY PLUS A SUBPLOT

THIS WAS TRULY A MOVIE THAT DID NOT REVEAL ITSELF UNTIL THE END. IT BEGINS AS A YOUNG MOTHER NEEDS TO WORK
AS A CHAUFFEUR, ON OR ABOUT CHRISTMAS EVE , AND AS SHE IS DRIVING AN OBVIOUSLY VERY RICH MAN AROUND TOWN, THE
GENTLEMAN IS GIVING OUT $100 BILLS TO EVERYONE HE MEETS. THIS BOTH ALARMS THE LADY DRIVING HIS LIMOUSINE BUT
OBTAINS THE ATTENTION OF THE MEDIA, AND A HANDSOME, SEEMINGLY COINCIDENTALLY, REPORTER IS ASSIGNED TO FOLLOW HER AND GET THE STORY. NOW HER NINE YEAR OLD SON WINDS UP IN THE LIMO AND IS ASKING, ......WHO IS THIS FUNNY 👨
MAN. THE CHAUFFEUR IS ALSO WONDERING THIS. IT TURNS OUT THE OLDER RICH MAN HAS A PRETTY SOLID REASON FOR
TRYING TO HELP HER, AND THE JOURNALIST BECOMES INTERESTED IN HER, MORE THAN THE STORY. GET OUT THE 🍿 &🍕AND
ENJOY THIS GREAT AND TOUCHING MOVIE.

Very cute movie!

This movie reminded me of a Hallmark movie - it was very enjoyable to watch. I liked all the actors including the main character. The main character is what drew me to want to watch this movie. About half way through the movie I realized that the lead character in Murdoch Mysteries was the news anchor! I think the main character has been misunderstood in some of the reviews. Some people think she is mean but all she wanted to do was be with her child on Christmas Eve since his dad couldn't bother to be with him. Plus she came around in the end - after all no one is perfect.

Video Stuttering Is So Bad That The Movie Is Unwatchable
Verified purchase
This looked like a cute Christmas movie but I can't tell you a thing about it. The headline for this review says it all. I simply can't watch it. A google search for Prime video stuttering shows that this is a widespread problem going back several years. Various sites suggested various fixes but none of the simple non-techie ones I tried did any good. And no, it's not a problem with my computer or its settings, my router, my isp, or anything like that. Netflix movies stream just fine for me. A lot of Amazon movies and tv shows stream okay. It's just some Prime movies that won't play. Amazon, that google search showed problem reports as far back as 2016. It's about time you fixed whatever the problem is. If you can't figure out what it is, talk to Netflix. They seem to be able to do streaming just fine.

Great Storyline
Verified purchase
Great storyline and the acting is superb by all except for the protagonist. Protagonist is not likeable; typically you are cheering for the protagonist; she is unable to engender any empathy because she is mean to her client. Rather, she could just enjoy the adventure since she is being monetarily compensated.

“She smells like a sock.”

A rich man with a secret (Howard Hesseman as Fred Nickells) is giving away a huge sum of money to random strangers, seemingly to impress his chauffeur (Andrea Roth as Shannon). He is giddy, he is annoying, and he catches the attention of a reporter (Yannick Bisson as Peter Archer) who wants a better job elsewhere and believes this crazy man is a story that might catapult him into the bigtime.
This movie tries way too hard to be cute and seasonal. It’s neither.

Joy of giving and giving and giving!

I agree with another reviewer this does remind me of a typical Hallmark film. Don't get me wrong tho...I LOVE Hallmark movies! This is a feel-good flick featuring a jolly and very wealthy man on a mission. That mission has a name: Shannon McManus. Hop aboard this crazy-fun holiday movie for a great evening for the entire family.
The surprise is at the end!
