I bought the book because I LOVE the tv programme the writer is part of and because it was on special offer. But it is written for people who live with others. I live alone. For people who are a bit untidy. I'm naturally a bit on the anal side. For folk who are busy - retired -, have no systems for putting things away - way too late for that one - and have money to invest in naughtily buying duplicates of things - oooh, pension - and enough spare income to invest in her storage solutions - no again.
At one time, I lived with my mother, husband and two messy teenage boys and all the advice would probably have been great. If your house is infested with teenagers, this book may be for you - although the oases of calm with flowers and scented candles would not have lasted more than a week with my husband and sons before someone accidentally spilt Irn Bru or left their football boots there. But now I live with way too much calm and no one is here to disrupt my tidying strategies.
So, I'll away and try to learn how to roll up my t-shirts and thank my socks. But, if you're a stressed mum, this could be for you. If so, enjoy.

It is one of my favorite books, a one that I will share with my kids when they are a bit older!
For me, decluttering a space gives you mentale and emotional balance. Thank you Dilly for sharing those amazing skills! I will treasure this book for many many years to come... xx

Only sorry the pages are all creased at the back. Disappointing for a new book.
