For four thousand years, creatus have concealed themselves from the humans who hunted them almost to extinction. Now, one rogue wants the world to know they exist.
Victoria doesn't want any of it; she just wants to live in peace without men—humans or creatus—messing with her head. When the rogue decides he wants her to join him, though, only one person is close enough to help her—Reece. One problem… Reece is her prisoner, and if he escapes, she's supposed to kill him.
The Creatus series is not your normal paranormal story... It's a realistic supernatural romantic suspense based on the myths you've heard your entire life. Prepare to believe.

About the author

Carmen DeSousa is an internationally bestselling author of twenty-three novels and short stories. Her paranormal romantic suspense Creatus series is a USA Today Indie Romance Bestselling Series.
Her novels share her love of the outdoors. She's hiked, kayaked, and dined across the U.S., so she can bring her stories to life. Other than locations you can feel, she concentrates on the human factor, working to bring her characters the happily ever after that seems impossible.
As most authors, Carmen blames her leap into a full-time career as a professional writer on her love of reading. She states that reading has always been an escape for her. When life was rough as a child, she could always disappear into a book. But she found something else, too... She discovered that writing out her thoughts was therapeutic. Not only could she create hope for her protagonists, but she could also do away with her antagonists—legally.
Carmen currently lives in "The Heart of Arizona" with her husband of thirty-three years and a very spoiled rescue, a cross-eyed Russian Blue, who's too cute for words.
Carmen and her husband love to experience different areas, so they move a lot. They’ve lived on both of Florida’s coasts: Cocoa Beach and Tampa Bay; Charlotte, North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Chicago, Illinois; Bullhead City, Arizona, the Northern Central Valley of California, and now Arizona’s high desert. They’re always looking for their next adventure, so they travel every chance they get. If you've read about a place in one of Carmen’s stories, she’s been there!
Both Carmen and her husband not only write, but also love to read outside—or a coffee shop if it's raining. And if the weather is really nice, they enjoy kayaking and hiking. Carmen says they rarely spend their days off at a movie theater or the mall. In fact, she hates shopping, and her husband would rather do anything than take her to a movie when she’s already read the book.

written Carmen. I really like how it all began. The Creatus
as they're called are true alien's from another planet. Taller, buffed body and eat Raw meat.
When people saw how strong they were, they were afraid. They were mistaken as vampire's because they lived longer and we're very hard to kill. The Creatus are like supernatural. They mate for life. If their mate dies, they do too unless needed to care for the children. If this seems like a book you like, I highly recommend it. I am going to read the next book now.
The author, Carmen De Sousa is
a fantastic writer. I am so looking forward to reading all she writes.
With the rogue creatus still on the loose, it’s hard for Victoria to know who to trust. Especially Reese, a cop who discovered the creatus’ abilities and is now being kept prisoner. He should be the enemy, but is he really?
As in 'Creatus (Book 1)' I really enjoyed the story locations and actions scenes in the book. They really support and balance with the personal story-lines between the different characters shown. We also get to see how Derrick and Kris from Book 1 are doing.
The romance between Victoria and Reese is slow blooming; a fresh change after the more intense romance between Derrick and Kris (which I also loved). It suits the couple well, and also the fact that Victoria has several men vying for her attention. And Vic is a very different character from Kris, so I was pleased to see her show some vulnerability, but not change too much too quickly.
As this is a continuing story I won’t give spoilers on the end, but there is a very interesting development in the final chapter to set up some new characters (and adventures) for Book 3. The world of the creatus and all the characters we already know, make for a great, long-running book series. I will definitely be reading them all.
While Derrick and Kristina, the stars of Creatus (Creatus Series) , still play a big role here, other characters step out and take the lead. I loved learning more about Victoria. She's a fascinating character with a lot of depth. And I was pleasantly surprised by Reece's larger role. We're given enough closure to feel satisfied at the end, but we're also left with tantalizing pieces that have me waiting anxiously for book #3.
If you have not read Creatus (Creatus Series) , the first book in this series, you could still read this one. DeSousa did a great job weaving past information into this story, giving new readers background while not boring readers who'd read the first book. Still, I think the series is more enjoyable if read in order so that you have a full understanding of the characters' journeys. Plus, they're just really great books!
Need seven more words but my opinion only took one line
