But he can't rest on his laurels. Neptune's moon Triton is the next target of the spatial-temporal vortex, and is invaded by an army of what seem like vampires. And to make matters worse, Walker's newfound powers seem to be fading, and hope seems lost.
Earth needs a hero again. Can Private Lucas Walker go two for two? Laser sword? Check. Power glove? Check. Warrior cat? Check. Give the alien vampires an ass-kicking? No problem.

About the authors
Nick became a scientist so that he could build starships. Unfortunately, his ship is taking longer to build than he'd hoped, so fictional starships will have to do for now. When he's not adding to his starship collection, you can find him tweeting and facebooking about Nasa, science, space, SciFi, and quoting Star Trek II.
He lives in western Washington.

Jacob Rennaker is a professor, student, and maker of stories. Having spent a (short) lifetime studying the world's myths, rituals, and religious stories - along with their dead languages and forgotten gods - Jacob decided to write fantastic stories of his own. Now he lives in Los Angeles with his otherworldly wife, a boy who dreams of being a bird, and a suspiciously intelligent dog.

Peter Bostrom is the pen name of Nick Webb as he co-writes Science Fiction with other authors. The Last War series is by Nick Webb and David Adams.
Nick lives in Seattle, and someday wants to be the first man to die on Mars. Not like a heroic, failed-Nasa-mission style death where he plummets through the thin atmosphere and crashes into Olympus Mons, but a calm one in a hospital with plenty of fantasy books to ease his passing.
David lives down under, and besides the occasional military sci-fi novel, also writes about kobolds.

He bumbles around and gets blamed for everything that goes wrong. Come on - it isn’t his fault when his friends get hurt or killed by the enemy... he didn’t fire the weapon. But no ones seems to blame the enemy, not even Walker. It’s just annoying.
If the third book has a bumbling idiot who is weaker than ever and everyone blames him for everything, I’ll be finished with this series. But hopefully it’ll be good.
After a while you can just skip over certain parts, you know what is going to happen.
