After a stint of several years in dinner theater, back-up vocals, and bartending, she stayed home after the birth of her third child and began to write. Her first book was with Dell, and since then, she has written over two hundred novels and novellas including category, suspense, historical romance, vampire fiction, time travel, occult and Christmas family fare.

She is pleased to have been published in approximately twenty-five languages. She has written over 200 novels and has 60 million books in print. She has been honored with awards from booksellers and writers’ organizations for excellence in her work, and she is also proud to be a recipient of the Silver Bullet from Thriller Writers and was also awarded the prestigious Thriller Master in 2016. Interesting idea, but we're only halfway through...

This is, evidently, the second in a series of four books about four different whack jobs representing the four horses of the apocalypse. This one features the red horse, war, and opens with twenty gang members in an isolated part of the Everglades who have been killed with arrows, axes, and knives. It gets worse from there. As plots go, I have to say this one is pretty unusual. That's refreshing. But the whole mystery won't be solved until the end of the fourth book, when, hopefully, the person responsible for the whole apocalypse idea is revealed. The best you're going to get is the identity of the main main baddies, which may or may not surprise you. I was not surprised. But Graham can write an absorbing thriller, and I will read the next two to find out who the puppet-master is.

I really enjoyed this book until the author brought up Ruth Bader Ginsberg being a good role model for little girls everywhere. What? She was not the first female Supreme Court judge. She spent her last years being divisive and hateful. Then she kept referring to Chicago as a great place to visit. Has she been there in the past five years? Murders and crime are out of control. This book deals with an FBI and FDLE officer working in Chicago. No way would any law enforcement personnel refer to this City as a great City. The current mayor is not helping with these issues. How disconnected can this author be from reality? I buy Fiction to avoid these issues. Sweeping them under the proverbial rug and pretending they do not exist helps no one. Stick to fiction.

I’ve been reading Heather Graham for years but this book is not one of her best. The are definitely editing issues unless the author meant to repeat lines throughout the book. And characters were misnamed in several instances….I’m disappointed in this one and am struggling to finish - the story drags on with no action at all.

The plot was well thought out. The pieces linking each individual well planned. I especially like that it didn't have to have inappropriate language and the love scenes were done tastefully. Not like those that border being porn. I think this shows a better understanding of the English language, and the fact that they aren't used as fillers to make the book longer!
