I greatly enjoyed reading it and warmly recommend it." - Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin, President of the State of Israel.
"The Critical Offer" is engaging reading and possesses a magical inherent suspense. With deep knowledge in a wide range of subjects, the author takes us faithfully by the hand through a mesmerizing alternative reality, to a dystopic apocalyptic Israel. This book does not belong only to the world of fantasy and fiction, but to the real world as well. One must continue to ponder and take a deeper look into its insights... - Professor Aron Shai, Author and Historian. Head of the Department of "History and East Asian Studies" (on behalf of Shaul N. Eisenberg) & Pro-Rector of Tel-Aviv University.
What does the "The Critical Offer" have that made me read it with such enthusiasm, almost in one sitting?
This is an extraordinary futuristic thriller. Fantastic though it may be, it is highly realistic, riveting, courageous and thought-provoking. It is gripping, touching, and checkered with humor, innovative and deeply insightful thinking.
The people of Israel are being threatened by powerful processes. Only a new out-of-the-box political vision can change things.
"The Critical Offer" is meant for the seekers of value-adding suspenseful literature. Its new out-of-the-box vision is an original proposition for the resolution of the conflict may shock and provoke anger, but the prevalent determinism is far scarier and more disturbing.
I am highly recommending it!- Professor Emeritus Arnon Sofer, Haifa University (The School of "Geography and Environmental Studies" & Formerly Head of the "Haikin Chair in Geostrategic").
"The Critical Offer" is a compelling futuristic novel. Israel's reality provides a stage for a hero's convincing journey with a surprising ending. Incredibly, this is not another ordinary "prophecy of fury", but a captivating and stirring storyt hat will continue to occupy your thoughts long after you have read it. Highly recommended! - Brigadier General (Reserve) Yiftach Spector, Former fighter Pilot. Commander of 2 squadrons and 2 Airbases in the Israeli Air Force. Prize-winning Author. Entrepreneur and Artist.
Yitzhak Nir builds this engrossing, spellbinding plot out of the material of Israel's reality. At its heart is a late, almost impossible love story. In an out-of-the-box view it proffers insights on "existing or ceasing to exist" of the State of Israel. Will its heroes have the courage and strength to change the course of history?
I loved it. - Edna Shabtai, Author and Editor. Wife of the famous Israeli author Yaakov Shabtai.
From the Author
Zionism and its practical implementation in Israel have been derailed from the original vision of Herzl and the Israel's "Declaration of Independence". The public discourse has been focusing almost exclusively on the question: "One state or two?" while reality has answers of its own... thus rendering the whole debate altogether.
This is the backdrop for a thrilling love story in the near future of 2025. I hope it will present a new vision to the questions at hand in Israel.
May this book will be useful and joyful to you.

Yes, there are elements of sadness or depression here, even in the romance part of the story, a troubled hero, tormented by his past and present. He tries to do his best or what he feels is the right thing to do. There is a thread of sadness drawn all over the story which brought me to these thoughts that pop up and come to me every now and then, what will happen next ? There’s a constant threat with which we live on our little piece of land. Is there a solution?
In short, an appealing, smart, and in my opinion too sensitive with maybe a beacon of hope on the horizon.

Brilliant! A geopolitical masterpiece with a practical solution for solving one of the most intractable conflicts in modern history. Revealed through compelling characters in Israel, both Jew and Arab alike, a deep understanding of human conflict unfolds. Looking into the not-too-distant future, alarms are raised due to out of control demographics and the political upheaval that will accompany them.
It takes a serious outsider, the Chinese, to harness this conflict to suit their national interest for the long-term future in order to feed their ever-growing population. At the same time, the Chinese formulate an unbelievable plan to satisfy the needs of all parties involved.
It takes great foresight to write such a novel. Yes, there will be hope for the future if great minds lead the way.
Plus it's super suspenseful, old school classic espionage drama.
And to be honest, I read it in the course of one weekend. It was a great read.
It's been a week now since I read the book, and some of the ideas it offers, still over around me.
It is well-crafted thriller with intriguing twists and turns that will captivate you from start to finish.
The complicated fabric of life in Israel is illustrated by vibrant political discussions among various types of Israeli citizens such as religious people or Israeli Arabs.
This book is scarily realistic, and it will make you reevaluate your views of Israel and its conflicts, and maybe even change your opinion for it.
It will captivate you, but it goes way beyond that. The book is laying out the various opinions within Israel and it's different sects regarding Israel's conflicts and future. It does that through rich characters, lots of drama and plot twists.
Whether you are related to Israel or not this book will fascinate you, echo in your mind, and make you think!
