update: Crosley sent a pre-paid label, I returned my malfunctioning unit and they sent a replacement fairly promptly once the return was received . We’ll see if it lasts for more than a year of light use this time - I’ll post again if not - upgrading to 2 stars bcs even though it didn’t last the company honored and handled the warranty replacement .

It's been 13 days now since Crosley said they'd send a shipping label for warranty repair. Still no label. This unit lasted less than a year of very modest use and getting a return or repair under warranty has taken 2 weeks of hoop jumping so far.

The Crosley unit has basically the same look. The addition of Bluetooth connectivity is a nice update, so I can stream content from my smart phone. I like to listen to BBC3 while I read. The sound quality is decent, perhaps not as deep as the TEAC.
I had to return my first unit when the display went dark. It reappeared when I disconnected and reconnected power. I discussed the problem with Crosley customer service. They suggested that I exchange the unit through Amazon. This was accomplished very efficiently. No cost to me. Amazon even shipped the replacement prior to receiving the old unit. Imagine that....the honor system in late 2019. (Of course they have my credit card info, just in case)
The replacement unit works fine, but I did have another incident of the display going dark which required disconnecting and reconnecting. I also notice the the CD buttons are very slow to respond. This makes me wonder whether the manufacturer used the best quality components.
Radio performance was adequate. Analog tuning is part of the unit's charm. I live in a crowded radio market, so I don't mind encountering random broadcasts as I search for my desired station. Not everyone would agree with me.
In summary, this is hardly an audiophile quality unit. We're talking Crosley, not BOSE. Having said that, this would be a fine gift for someone fond of old-school electronics who is not terribly demanding.
