My kids love these.

Although these have an underlying educational value, the more obvious purpose of the show is to entertain with whiny voices and insipid story lines. That said, my kids love them and my daughter was able to defend the educational value by explaining what she learned about maximizing the area of an enclosure!

Endorsement by a six-year-old: "I like it because it makes you learn. The stories are funny."
As a parent observer, I agree. The stories have some interesting, science/math flavored stories and are engaging. The cartoon style is nice too, not pretty but it works well.

I'm a first grade teacher. One rainy day when we couldn't go out for recess I showed Cyberchase to my class. Not only was it amusing, but it was educational (a plus in my book!), as well. I'm making Cyberchase a rainy day routine in my classroom!

My 4-year old may need an intervention...

My son has been watching this show for a year or so, but has recently become an official addict. Whenever he has the choice of selecting a program, we know it's going to be Cyberchase (EVERY time). He's still too young to really understand the concepts completely, but it's a good, practical introduction to math and the characters are engaging (although there's no real way to make Gilbert Gottfried's voice pleasurable to the human ear). We also love the "Cyberchase For Real!" segments at the end of each episode - Harry and Bianca rock. Look for random cameos throughout the seasons from Tony Hawk, Matthew Broderick, Al Roker, Bebe Neuwirth, and Adam Levine.

My kids dig it!

I start it on episode 1 season 1 every night for my girls and the season is so long it keeps going long enough to get them to sleep and still on if they wake up in a couple hours to get them back to sleep. It's a life saver some nights.
