About DC Robertsson
Bible guy, "renaissance man" style career in both nice and nasty environments across three continents, driven to dig to the root of issues and their solutions.
Writing about things learned through the crucible of life, and things I wish I knew in my 20's.
God rightly says that in this life we "look in a mirror dimly". However that does not mean we have to stumble about blindly.

Blog post. 29 And Levi gave a big reception for Him in his house; and there was a great crowd of tax collectors and other people who were reclining at the table with them. The Pharisees and their scribes began grumbling at His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?” […]4 days ago Read more

Blog post. It is frustrating, annoying, and maddening when we see narcissists – those with insolent pride – skate by and seemingly get away with their self-absorbed abusive actions. We wonder when justice will prevail. God does not immediately lower the boom, but He has set them in slippery places and ultimately will (Psalm 73). And […]1 week ago Read more

Blog post. “Can A Narcissist Be A Christian”? is one of the frequent search terms for people finding their way to this blog. It is a very understandable question, along the lines of “How can X be a Christian and act like THAT?”, or “How can X claim to follow Jesus and treat people in the […]2 weeks ago Read more

Blog post. All of us stand on the shoulders of those who have come before. It’s not just what we learn from them, but the example of their lives. Paul said, . You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of [referring to Biblical truth], knowing from whom you have learned them… . 2 […]3 weeks ago Read more

Blog post. Narcissists are notorious for engaging in self-focused drama, while attempting to suck every one else in. It’s one of their go-to moves to attract attention. It might look like this: . . Jesus was well aware of the danger of allowing His narcissists – the Pharisees – to throw Him off His mission. He […]4 weeks ago Read more

Blog post. There are several Psalms that describe and address those with insolent pride (aka narcissists – see here). Psalm 12 is one of those Psalms. It describes them strutting about with the insolently prideful attitude that no one can tell them what to do (“who is lord over us”). They flatter and speak lies , believing that […]1 month ago Read more

Blog post. We have discussed previously how scoffers (narcissists, those with insolent pride) resist – to the point of hating – those who dare challenge their exalted self-image. . Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you…… Proverbs 9:8 . While the N might immediately push-back against a reproof, they may also develop a […]1 month ago Read more

Blog post. There are some Psalms that I “own”. What I mean by that is that I have lived and felt a few Psalms to a depth far beyond reading and even memorizing, to a point where they truly became an expression of my crying out to God. One of those is Psalm 42, coming to […]2 months ago Read more

Blog post. The Pharisees are a prominent example of Insolent Pride / Narcissism in the Bible (see here and here). They were described as “scoffers” in Isaiah 28, and “scoffers” are one of the “names” given to those with insolent pride – [“‘Proud’, ‘haughty’, ‘scoffer’ are his names who acts with insolent pride” – Proverbs 21:24]. Blog post… Based on recent responses to the book – A Biblical Perspective On Narcissism – there seems to be confusion by some regarding the proper response to a narcissist. Some believe that the book simply advocates “being a dormat and pray”, while others are disappointed that the book does not take a hard-line position of […]2 months ago Read more

If you’re checking out this book, there is a good chance you - or someone you care about - have experienced damaging consequences at the hands of a genuine narcissist. Maybe you didn’t realize you were dealing with a narcissist at first, but the pain and damage caused by this selfish, arrogant, condescending, and domineering person might have driven you to search for answers about what was going on, and how to deal with them. As you searched online or in books, you collected the conventional wisdom available, but feel there is still more to it.
While the Bible does not use the exact term "narcissism" - a word from Greek mythology - it most certainly speaks to the subject. In fact, if you look carefully, you might be surprised at just how much and how directly Scripture speaks about narcissism and narcissistic people.
The First Will Be Last: A Biblical Perspective on Narcissism is just what the title says - an A-Z look at the Biblical perspective on these toxic people; including who they are, how they got that way, and how to deal with them. From key words to Biblical case studies, it will unlock a new perspective and provide a framework in your search for truth.

From adulting to midlife to pre and post retirement, life seems to be an endless grind. There’s always the hope of conquering the next hill, but the next summit invariably disappoints. The futility of it all might be a background hum, but when you listen, it’s there – no matter how successful you are.
Escape From Futility provides the Biblical solution. Starting with one of the most successful people who ever lived - Solomon - it outlines the cause of this futility and God's key to escape, finishing with eleven practical ways to make it work in daily life.

Is the global pandemic a sign we're approaching the end? How much time do we have left? How can we prepare?
A friend recently surprised me at lunch by saying that many of his friends actively discussed the approaching return of Christ. I thought I was alone in feeling that we’re getting close.
Could we actually be at the end? How are we to know? Which of the rapture positions are correct – pre-trib, post-trib, or pan-trib (it will all pan out in the end)? And how do we prepare for what’s coming our way?
Until now we had the luxury to debate what the Scripture says, but at the actual end that debate crashes into reality. When we are close to God’s destination our views will have real-world implications on how we proceed, and how to prepare.
God has provided “trip instructions” on the road to the end. And He has provided a key signpost which will tell us which set of instructions are correct.
As the title says, Time To Prepare: Signposts On The Road To The End outlines
the Biblical signposts on the road to the end
the key signpost that will tell us which side of “the debate” is actually true
practical Biblical advice for what’s coming our way
The clear Biblical perspective in these pages will give you a solid base, and hope, for what looks to be a bumpy ride ahead.
One man made a kind and generous offer, knowing that God would provide for him. The other made a short-sighted decision without regard for what it would lead to.
This true story will make you stop and consider the real impact of your decisions, while providing a ray of hope for those who feel they've ruined their life.
