This is a decent compact socket set. The case is well made and holds everything well. The ratchets are very nice and feel good in the hand. The problem is that the selection of half inch drive sockets is extremely poor. Every time I need to wrench on something I am always looking for the size in half inch to get a little leverage with it but It is never there. Very irritating socket set for how nice it really is. If you are looking at this kit for your first or only set of sockets then i would insist that you purchase a very complete set of deep metric sockets. SAE is essentially obsolete if you are looking at working on a vehicle. The only reason for the second star is that the fit and finish is quite good and the ratchets are very smooth.

Useful but also frustrating tool kit

I have mixed feelings about this toolkit. Works great for simple tasks involving low torque fasteners on vehicles or around the house. Where it gets frustrating is that when you have a 13mm bolt ( common auto size ) that has alot of torque you risk breaking your 3/8 to 1/4 downsize adapter because this kit doesn't include a 13mm short 3/8ths socket. The ratchets feel weird in hand to me also. They work and have smooth action but I prefer just a plain handle one.

Very well crafted tools. These tools are not cheaply made. Very comfortable to grasp and smooth design. Ratchets make a nice clean engineered sound on undoing bolts with nicely fitted sockets. The sockets are engraved with the metric and standard numbers. Nice big case which butterflies open nice and flat on the ground. It includes most tools you need for vehicle and home repairs. I think these tools will last a life time!

Quality toolset, has pretty much everything you need. My only gripe would be the limited sizes of the hand wrenches, I recommend finding an additional set. Met all my needs while disassembling my trucks interior, great socket variety. Held up well 30 year old seat bolts, I put a lot of weight and leverage on them, no slipping or stripping.

UPDATE : After having this set for a year. Everything still works great. But if you get water on them you better dry it right away or it will rust quickly.
The tools have such great quality to them, I've had Dewalt my whole life and they never disappoint me. You will have this set for a long time
