"Pulse pounding action coupled with a look at the cost of war - Weapons Free grabbed me from the first page." - USA Today Bestselling Author Rhett C. Bruno
Thirty-five years of peace. One vicious attack destroys it all.
Reservist Lieutenant Justin Spencer loves every minute of flying fighters through space during his annual two-week tour with the Coalition Defense Force. The job back home isn’t nearly as thrilling as blowing up asteroids with the squadron under his command, but it keeps him close to his wife and daughter. After all, joining the CDF was only for the free education. Justin never expected a battle, much less a war.
With one shot across his cockpit, peacetime fades into memory.
An unexpected enemy emerges with overwhelming force designed to obliterate the Terran Coalition. The League of Sol has a different name, but it’s the same communist regime that chased away much of Earth’s population hundreds of years ago.
Illusions of returning home are shattered in a single instant. Simulated battles become all too real, and it’s full-on engagement or permanent elimination. Death and destruction erupt across the Terran Coalition and leave Justin in a protracted war with only one truth remaining.
The battlefield will leave no one unscathed.

War’s cost is a bitter pill.
Eleven months of non-stop combat have transformed Captain Justin Spencer from a cocky reservist into a battle-hardened veteran. While new recruits rotate in to replace once familiar faces, nothing mitigates the sting that haunts Justin with each loss. Or silences the doubts that keep him from taking a complete leap of faith.
News from the battlefront remains grim even after the CSV Zvika Greengold’s daring strike against the League of Sol’s home turf. Despite technological superiority, overwhelming numbers of League battleships continue to outgun the Coalition Defense Force, leaving their superiors to draw a chilling conclusion.
The war is unwinnable.
The Terran Coalition’s saving grace has been independent merchants, transporting materials from outlying mining colonies to Coalition shipyards, keeping the CDF in the fight – until pirates with high-grade weaponry start picking off the freighters one-by-one. Instead of trading valuable cargo for innocent lives, however, the pirates have only one horrifying goal: leave no survivors.
Justin and the crew of the CSV Zvika Greengold are thrust into unfamiliar territory against a ruthless enemy willing to go to any lengths to avoid capture.
And pay any price to protect its secrets.
The tide of galactic war turns – but in whose favor?
The Coalition Defense Force is putting the hurt on the League of Sol. Despite the League’s superior numbers, Captain Justin Spencer and his fighter squadron return victorious after each enemy engagement.
But it’s only the calm before the storm.
The Eire system’s loss in the early days of war was a bitter pill for the Terran Coalition. Now the Coalition is pulling out all the stops to rescue her citizens from the hands of a repressive regime bent on domination at any cost.
But the enemy is cunning. When the CDF presses what they think is an advantage, the League’s strategy becomes painfully clear: they’ve been lured into a trap. As missiles fly and staggering losses mount, Justin and the CSV Zvika Greengoldare embroiled in the dogfight of their lives.
And many will make the ultimate sacrifice.
The safety is off.
After witnessing his son’s birth, Captain Justin Spencer contemplates leaving active duty in the Coalition Defense Force for a training post. New pilots straight from the academy are sorely unprepared for combat conditions, just like he was when the war with the League of Sol began. But after a year of intense dogfights, the CDF can’t afford continued losses from ill-equipped rookies.
Especially when disaster strikes.
Pirates target a civilian starliner, forcing the CSV Zvika Greengold to renew an old acquaintance. The intelligence agent’s methods are unorthodox at best, but Colonel Tehrani is determined to avenge the innocent.
No matter the cost.
Sustained CDF presence in neutral space brings back bad memories of Terran Coalition overreach in the fiercely independent outposts. But to flush out the culprits responsible for the horrific tragedy, Justin and the Greengold will go wherever the evidence takes them.
Even when their actions threaten to start another war.
The Shadow Wolf is gone.
Admiral James Henry has traded a war of weapons for one cloaked in diplomacy as leader of the fledgling Independent Systems Fleet. Fighting alongside the Terran Coalition to rid the Sagittarius Arm of tyranny was the easy part. Now forced into the political arena, he’s never missed the freewheeling spacer’s life more.
Or his scattered crew.
Leading them, Captain Miri Gaon is still haunted by past actions working deep cover for Coalition Intelligence Service. When pirates attack the Venture Star on a medical supply run to a frontier planet, age-old training kicks in.
And suspicions are raised.
“Curall” promises a miracle for whatever ails you. But miracles demand steep sums mere credits can’t pay. When a vial lands in her lap from an unexpected source, Miri and her crew must get the Venture Star spaceworthy again and fight past vicious warlords and pirates to deliver the addictive drug to Admiral Henry.
Or see more worlds fall to an all-new enemy.
There’s no rest for the weary.
The sun has set on General David Cohen’s galactic military service after twenty-two years in the Coalition Defense Force. Stripped of command of the CSV Lion of Judah by the new administration after his candid assessment of their tactics, David faces ending his illustrious career not as a war hero but a desk jockey.
But the League of Sol isn’t about to head off into the sunset to lick its wounds.
Though its shipyards lie in ruins and its leaders talk peace, the League still has their reserve home defense fleet – and a seething determination to use it to claim victory over the Terran Coalition once and for all.
As well as an old adversary ready to take General Cohen down.
Word reaches CIS that the enemy is secretly amassing forces. In a last-ditch effort, David joins old allies to commandeer a ship for a daring recon mission. With arrest warrants hanging over them but their suspicions confirmed, they risk their freedom to confront the Terran Coalition’s leadership with the newly discovered intelligence.
When the dust settles, David is tasked with a desperate mission: defend Canaan at all costs.
And like his father before him, this mission may prove to be his last in this epic series conclusion.
Every choice has a cost.
The fate of the Terran Coalition stands on a knife’s edge. An anti-war president-elect stands ready to take the helm, with a platform of a peace treaty based on appeasement. The Coalition Defense Force has mere months to inflict maximum damage on the League’s military capabilities in hopes of preserving all the gains paid for in blood. Before they’re wiped away in favor of a tenuous peace.
A peace Colonel David Cohen knows won’t last.
A treaty with the socialist League won’t be worth the paper it’s written on. The Coalition’s best hope is to orchestrate a daring plan to cripple the enemy where it will hurt most – in the heart of their home turf. David is charged with leading a small but powerful force of CDF ships behind enemy lines to destroy key shipyards that will cut League military capabilities by seventy percent.
But a serpent is most dangerous when cornered.
When David is confronted with overwhelming League forces, he embarks on a desperate attack, using untested technology and tactics. Because the price for failure would be too high.
Will the cost of success finally be too high to bear?
The League of Sol has a new weapon – one starships can’t destroy.
Tactics have changed. The enemy hasn’t been able to beat Colonel David Cohen and the CSV Lion of Judah’s crew on the galactic battlefield. The League needs a more powerful weapon to succeed in the protracted war. One that will strike at the heart of the Terran Coalition and bring them to their knees.
One to annihilate them from within.
A new recreational drug is guaranteed to hook users in a single hit. With no cure, addicts will die within a year. Colonel Cohen and his team are given a classified assignment that takes them from the frontlines to the most unlikely of places: Gilead, the neutral pleasure planet. Working closely with an undercover operative, they must infiltrate the vicious cartel responsible for bringing the highly addictive substance to market.
But what happens in Gilead, stays in Gilead, and there are formidable government officials that want to keep it that way – at any cost.
Now David must thwart the enemy and root out corruption at the highest levels without starting yet another bitter war.
If he can't, the Terran Coalition is doomed.

The CDF is no longer on defense.
En route home after their latest mission, Captain Jackson Adams and his covert unit are diverted for immediate reassignment. The Coalition Defense Force is undertaking a major refit of their long-range sensor network as the Terran Coalition navigates the troubled waters of a tentative peace with the League of Sol.
PASCORE was designed to detect enemy incursions, and the expansion will extend the network’s reach to allies in neutral space and the Saurian Empire. There’s been no direct evidence of League interference, but Coalition Intelligence isn’t taking any chances after inferior equipment is discovered and anti-military protestors converge.
All blind to the threat the enemy still poses.
Jackson’s unit infiltrates various factions to expose suspected League involvement and neutralize any disruptions before they occur. But distrust still permeates the team after his previous actions put them all at risk. As they close in on their nemesis, Jackson’s obsession once again threatens the entire operation.
Because a desperate adversary is a deadly one.
The League of Sol is down but not out. Now Colonel David Cohen tackles his most challenging task yet.
Ferreting out a traitor.
The League fleet has finally been driven from the Terran Coalition’s galactic arm. But enemies left behind on the planets that dot the local cluster won’t go quietly.
Under orders direct from the President, David dispatches a commando team to recon a League-held world, entrusting them with one of his top officers as a guide on the planet she once called home. Unexpected enemy fire leaves the team stranded in hostile territory with no means of escape unless they can disable the planetary defense system.
But David faces an all-new battle of his own. As a wave of League ships consistently stays one step ahead of him, his worst fears are realized.
The CDF has a mole.
Alongside the intelligence ship Oxford, David and the crew of the Lion of Judah race to discover the wolf in a CDF uniform and rescue those planetside before they are lost to a crazed League commander intent on annihilation over surrender.
If they fail, they’ll sacrifice more than just a battle.
They’ll lose the war.
The stealth war has only begun.
Admiral James Henry faces a serious dilemma. Curall has already made deep inroads throughout Independent Space. While distracted fighting the League, the Jalm’tar Empire waged a clandestine war using the highly addictive substance—with far deadlier consequences.
Billions across the galaxy face an excruciating death without a constant supply of the drug for which there is no known antidote. To keep the tap flowing, one planet’s leadership intends to roll the dice and adopt the Jalm’tar’s terms despite their onerous constraints.
If they fall, others are doomed to follow.
As news reaches him of the scheduled vote, Admiral Henry is once again forced to call on his former crew. The Venture Star must infiltrate an autocratic empire bent on the Sagittarius Arm’s subjugation. But when one of their own is caught in the Curall net, the race is on to discover the Jalm’tar’s secret ace in the hole.
Before time runs out.
Corporal David Cohen thought he’d left war behind.
He was wrong.
The Terran Coalition faces repeated and brutal attacks from the repressive League of Sol. To defend his home planet, David trades his dream of becoming a rabbi for a battlefront in the far reaches of space. When particle beams fly, his courage under fire brings quick promotion. But in the lulls between battles when he must confront his soul, David finds a different enemy: the ghosts of those killed under his command.
Yet in war, it’s kill or be killed—and the enemy shows no mercy.
David must square the tenets of his faith against his responsibility to crew and country. If he fails in his command, billions face enslavement by a ruthless regime. Now it’s an all-out fight for the galaxy’s freedom.
Because a man’s greatest foe lies within.
