Just like the title says, these are some dark tales. I loved each and every one. Every once in a while, I like to read something that isn't like everything else. These stories are definitely that. Each story took on a different idea of a woman placed predicament and the "monsters" that took advantage of it. I thoroughly enjoyed that Viola Masters actually did her research and got the anatomy right for several of the hybrids in Sea Men. The remaining stories were amazing. I loved the different take on Sasquatch, the haunted house and the Forest Hart. A twisted tale of erotica, horror and just enough of what is going to happen to keep you on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait to see what else Viola Masters provides.

I did not care for. the first story all those nonstandard sex organs were a bit skeevy. Also would have enjoyed seeing heroine kick some divine arse . The remaining three were very original and I enjoyed the shape shifter sasquatch. More like that please.

I have a real issue with stories of women being raped and used as sex slaves. There are no words to tell how much l hate that this author that wrote stories of strong women now writes about their degradation and humiliation. How is this an entertaining book where not only is a woman abandoned to drown but is gang rape by sea monsters. I couldn't read any more, its just beyond sick for me.
