1.0 out of 5 starstrust me if you like shark movies watch a different one!

First off I want to say that I love shark movies, but this is the most boring shark movie that I have ever seen. The movie was so muted down that it just felt bazar. Whoever was in charge of the music/scores that were used in this movie should be embarrassed, in scenes where the sharks are attacking there was no exciting music or sounds to indicate danger or even that anything was happening at all so if you weren’t watching the screen every second you would never even know that that person was dead until you were like hey where the hell is bob (fake name so not to give spoilers). The only time that you even feel the drama is when HB’s character gets pissed at the rich dude. My advice is if you like shark movies watch a different one!

3.0 out of 5 starsDisappointed

I was a little disappointed with this film. I usually like Halle Berry movies but felt she and the rest of cast over-acted their parts and didn't behave the way normal people would in this situation. Also, many of the scenes were so dark you couldn't tell what was going on. One scene in particular with the abalone poachers had no explanation or follow-up. I viewed it on Prime so I can't complain too much but all in all it wasn't one of Berry's best.

2.0 out of 5 starsSound quality was atrocious!

The audio on this movie was so bad we could not understand most
of what was being said. At the end of the movie during the action
scenes (which took place in the dark) you could not see ANYTHING!
black blobs and flashes of light and splashes. Could not tell who or
what was there or what was happening. But what made the movie...
or at least this copy of the movie truly awful was the horrible audio!

1.0 out of 5 starsbad bad bad

The scene of Halle Berry's behavior when her customer dared come out of the cage was stupid. She was an idiot in this film. Way too reactionary and emotional. An unbelievable drama queen. She actually caused the drama she seemed to fear most. Anyone who would dive with her deserves to die. This film is a waste of time.

1.0 out of 5 starsThis Movie was 15 Minutes Too Short

I would have loved to see the ending where they were tried and convicted of negligent homicide, if not first degree murder.

The acting was horrible (from everyone), the script was criminally bad, the story line was atrocious, and the characters' were completely unbelievable because no one has judgement that bad.

If you like those qualities in a movie, by all means, rent it.

4.0 out of 5 starsUnderrated film.

This underrated film takes place in scenic South Africa. We get the National Geographic tour. In Shark Alley, courage runs deep! It's underwater camera work and portrayal of the Great White shark both powerful and beautiful. And, I love sharks, love the ocean to say the least. Respect.

3.0 out of 5 starsAmazing with the Sound Off

I'm really not sure how to rate this. It is a horrible "bad shark movie" that I just had to own on blu-ray because I love the gorgeous underwater cinematography in this movie, but I watch it with the sound turned off so I don't have to listen to the dialogue. And it is the best of the "bad shark movies" for real fear factor largely because they use real sharks and a surprising amount of footage of people diving with real sharks. We've learned so much about the Great White since Jaws, and the fact that this footage exists is proof of it. The story... Who cares. The acting... All of these people can do better. Watch this for the shark footage. Nuff said.

2.0 out of 5 starsDark Reality

The only believeable part about this film was the argument between Halle and Olivier! It appeared to be too much like art imitating life! It's unfortunate such talented actors were served up such a pathetically poor script, plot and the result is the biggest B - Bomb of a movie! Sad just really, really sad!
