In short, love the author's story lines, but I recommend waiting to be sure you'll be able to GET the whole story before starting any particular story arc if you depend on regular book format.
Michael is on a journey of self discovery. This one shows it most profoundly. He continues to take on whatever he must for love and honor of Bethany Anne. Who cannot love that? The fireworks when they get together will be explosive.I am waiting for a front row seat.
If Anderle would quit getting new authors and focus on his books and those of Elle, Cameron, and Justin we would not have to wait so dreadfully long. If he were to finish his series, then he can do his editing, teaching, traveling, and whatever. The other authors can play catch up.
But that is in a perfect world.
I know Ell Leigh Clarke helped in writing this story and after reading the author notes you find out which parts but until then I couldn't figure out what was hers and what was Michael Anderle's. They blend the writing together so well you can easily imagine it's all MA. Mostly because there aren't any of Ell's british style speach patterns. So massive kudos to both authors for an amazing story!
This story tells us what's happening both with Yuko, Eve, Mark, and Jacqueline in Japan and what fun they get into and also how Michael and Akio are hunting The Duke and their shenanigans. Lots of fun, mystery, mayhem, and drama ensue. And remember that while all these guys are running around trying make the earth a better place, the return of BA is ever closer.
Now this was Michael (ArchAngel/Dark Messiah). And we all want him to make his way back to Bethany Anne. But we also know there are things he has to do and accomplish first before he gets there, like take care of the Duke. He seems to find lots of loyal folks along the way, though, collecting them. And yet, he also stays true to who he always was...the Dark Messiah.
Looking forward to him figuring out how to get into space, because it won't be easy. But I am sure nothing will keep him from reuniting with Bethany Anne.
