Annoying, Amature, Egocentric Rambling - unworthy of Hallmark's brand
Verified purchase
This pointless, trite film does nothing but insult Hallmark's brand and audience.

Hallmark needs to pay more attention to the level of quality they permit "Hollywood" to churn out, under Hallmark's banner.

From start to finish, this film contains repeated, shallow, selfish banter, between a mother and a daughter, against the background of a dull, predictable plot.

There is nothing to entertain or enrich in this embarrassment, to the art of storytelling, which frankly insults the intelligence, refinement and values of Hallmark's audience.

It does not deliver any of the meaning and love of life that Hallmark audiences have come to expect and trust.

Good premise ruined by sound quality

Cozy mystery firmly cast in the Hallmark mold; meaning easy going plot, benign romance, and an irritating constant musical underscore start to finish. This particular movie had the misfortune of really bad sound editing. The irritating constant musical underscore almost completely covers all conversation. To hear the dialogue you have to turn the sound way up then you’re stuck with the standard Hallmark Muzak playing really loudly. I think I would have enjoyed this movie a lot more (great cast, fun storyline) if the sound were more evenly edited, and if Hallmark would just let loose the notion that every single moment in a movie must be set to music.

The movie was good, but tone down the background noise.

I enjoyed the content of the movie very much. The actors were all likeable and I like movies that I am not embarrassed to watch with my parents. My only problem is the sountrack. What is with the background noise being so loud? There were quite a few scenes where the background noise seemed louder than the main actors.

Excellent acting, good story line I hope that Hallmark makes more of this story. Hallmark quality...you can't beat it with all the taudry stories they put out today. I will be watching for more of these movies to add to my collection..

Kimberly Paisley is lovely

A fun story that resolves a bogus robbery charge and the challenges between a woman and her mother. Wendy and Kimberly both do a fine job. Supporting cast members are not too shabby.

A Benchmark Hallmark movie

Fun, appealing characters, plausible chemistry, and a reasonably good storyline. I like the Darrow and Darrow franchise and found this movie very entertaining.

Clean & witty; good acting

Clean. Witty. Good story line.
My husband and I both enjoyed this movie. It contains a little romance but not overly pathetic and forced like many “chick flicks”
