My 4 year old son loves these books and he likes to talk about the things David did wrong that got him into trouble. My only criticism would be the page where the teacher says (you need to use the restroom) "Again??" Kids at the young end of this book's suggested age range shouldn't feel worried about asking their teacher to go to the restroom any time they need it. I always tell my son that when we reach this page. Other than that, we love reading these books... again and again.
1.0 out of 5 starsDon't read to toddlers or young children.

Doesn't set a good example. Could confuse children. All the photos are of David doing bad/naughty things. Seems like a bad example for my child. Why would I show my child how to destroy, hit or wreak things.
awesome! brand new! my son had lost this book from his school library and they wanted a God awful amount to replace it, so I just ordered from here and that was that. they didn't care as long as they got the book. I also bought No, David for the same reason
I first bought this book for my first grandson Ethan and he loved the No David!, David Goes To School, David Gets In Trouble and It's Christmas David! series so much that I created a No Ethan! book for him!!! I now have another grandson Isidro who is 3 years old and he loves these books too!!! I had to buy duplicates of the books so that I can read to Isidro via Skype and when he comes over to visit me. Ethan generously passed along his David books to his cousin Isidro. Recently, I was reading to Isidro and his little sister Sofia who is 5 months old seemed very interested in the books as well, so I think we will have a new fan of the David series very very soon!!!! My grandchildren are passionate about reading and I love buying books for them!!!
I'm personally not a huge fan of the David books-maybe the illustrations creep me out. I think there are better and more interesting children's books out there. This book doesn't really have a story-it's just David doing naughty things, and being told No. My sister tells me that her students like it, and think it's funny, so I guess it appeals to some kids. I would maybe preview it at a bookstore first though.
