I've always adored the concept of having a day to relive over and over again to learn life's lessons, so I expected to enjoy this movie, but I didn't expect it to be a new favorite. I was so wrong! In this story about Calvin, played fabulously by Steven Weber, Calvin learns that the greatest business deal of his life does not equal his best day ever, and he goes on a journey to find out what does; as you take the journey with him, it will remind you what really does make "The Best Christmas Eve Ever". With some laughs and sentimental tears along the way, this movie will warm your heart. Great story, great cast, all the feels, highly recommend.

I was expecting this movie to be another "Ground Hog Day." It was a similar plot with redemption being in the character figuring out where he went wrong. However, I liked how he did not really understand how wrong he was right away and continued to be a narcissistic pig until different people in his life gave him clues. At the end also, after he finally acknowledged failure and made it to "Christmas," in Scroogian fashion, the main character was reminded that "God is in the details." In other words, even though we may continue to fail, God is still working on us.

I found this movie oddly sweet. Molly Shannon & Steven Weber are great together! This is a sweet Christmas movie in high fashion of bringing the true meaning of Christmas to light. Steven's character was building his business, losing himself and his family. Time to for some soul searching; family is everything! I'd recommend this movie to all!

Mish-mash of several holiday movies, with not Tim Daily, no Bill Murray, and no Clarence the Angel. Great flick to put on for a child in the other room, to keep occupied while enjoying the holidays. But don't bother checking in on this G rated time filler.
I give it a 3/5, my wife gives it a -2/5.

Cute except for the sex scene that ruined the whole movie. It was a cute family movie with good morals but the sex scene was so unnecessary and ruined it. Sad that the actors even went that far in the "acting".

A wonderful, harmless, fun and very heartfelt Christmas movie that combines the reliving a day formula from Groundhog Day with the redemption formula of A Christmas Carol. Molly Shannon is a very important, but small, role as something not of this world. She is her usual funny treat of a performer...though pleasantly more subtle here than you might expect. Steven Webber plays the corporate leader who is not so much a douche-bag as a man who has lost touch with the things that really matter. He plays the edge of both really well. Think of the character he played on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and you'll be close to the feeling here...not a lost cause, but almost.

The rest of the story and cast are ok, but a little more' low budget' than the name stars and it sometimes shows. A very pleasant holiday diversion.

I originally watched this years ago because I love Steven Weber. He is charming as ever here. Now that I have kids, they have come to love this movie. It's become a Christmas favorite in our house, and we watch it every year. Plot is nothing new; basically Scrooge meets Groundhog's Day, and follows a simple formula... but it is a sweet family movie that reinforces the true Christmas spirit.

I must admit, I'm not a big Christmas movie fan, for any Christmas movie. This is a feel good movie with a good moral to the story. I couldn't give it 5 stars because I'm a special effects movie lover. The plot was predictable, but good. Nice movie to get back to what's really important - and that is good family above all.
