Every book I've read so far (14) is as good as the first. J.N. Cheany turned me on to sci-fi but Boyd has taken it to a whole nother level with relatability with his characters. I love them all so far, the only thing I would change is a little less mushiness, even then it would be near nothingness. Keep up the good work, I would love to follow Bob's Saucer Repair for years to come and pass it on to my daughter when she is old enough to appreciate him.

I don't know how Jerry keeps up the output pace, nor how he manages to make every story so entertaining. He has a huge cast, but they are all fleshed out personalities so you don't get a feeling that you've read this scene before. And that even when jokes can get reused again and again over the course of the series.

And that just makes this one of the best sci-fi humor series I've found. But its not low-brow silly humor. This is a story to entertain that manages to have little asides that bring a smile to your face as you read about the zany antics of the crew of Bob's Saucer Repair.

Start with book 1, as that will introduce some of the main characters, and by going through the series in order you'll understand many of the side plots and themes that show up here in book 14. Do read this series. Its one of the best I've discovered in years.

Frustrating because it is not divided into chapters and quotation marks to show the start and finish of speeches are inconsistent. Despite these drawbacks, I am still looking forward to the next one to be published.
