Classic Elegance Christmas Movie
Verified purchase
This is perhaps the second best Hallmark Christmas movie only surpassed by The Christmas Card. The actors have chemistry and once you start watching, you are hooked by the story, the cast and the overall imagery used to make everyone feel in the Christmas spirit. The movie explores relationships and families and places the true spirit of Christmas and love into perspective. So glad that it finally came out on DVD. It is one that you will keep watching year after year.

Perfect for any fan of romance!

I absolutely LOVE this movie! The first weekend I seen it, I watched it four times and decided I just had to have it on DVD. I wasn't familiar with either actor, but they managed to portray such real emotions, that I loved rewatching it again and again just to catch those little miniscule reactions/expressions that made it believable. Perfect for any fan of romance!

Who doesn't love Daniel Lissing
Verified purchase
Who doesn't love Daniel Lissing? In this movie, although he portrays a high-powered young executive, his vulnerability to a lost love is tender and believable. The fake engagement that he creates is humorous but eventually evolves into an honest and sweet love story. I love this movie and think you will too.

A cute Hallmark Christmas movie

Typical Hallmark movie. Two lead characters start out not getting along at first for whatever reason. Through their adventures together they get to know each other and finally fall in love, which is always a good thing. The actors have good chemistry. The decorations were beautiful. It does get a bit slow at times. I understood why it was important for the main characters to keep up the act of being a couple in front of their friends and family. Never could figure out why they cared what her former boss thought. Otherwise, a cute movie.

Enough said!

I hate a review that tells you every-little-thing----all details----about a movie. Reminds me of
sitting in a theater that some boob in front of you LOUDLY broadcasts what's happenin' next.
Take a leap of faith and watch this movie with a clean slate, dammit... and ENJOY it! It is a
romantic farce that just keeps going and going right till that last minute when the couple actually
figure out that they ARE a couple.

One of Hallmark's best. I can't

One of Hallmark's best. I can't watch it enough. Their chemistry is cute. Predictable, but isn't that what we all love about these movies... come on... admit it!

Just Something About It
Verified purchase
There is something about this Romance-at-Christmas movie that strikes a chord with me. It had a cliche take-a-date-to-the-wedding-so-they-don't-look-pathetic start but then there is a twist that has the couple spend a lot of time together and you see them fall in love....ops spoiler alert. It is nice to watch. This movie is adopted from a book with the same title by Denise Hunter. The movie has the same foundation but deviates a good bit. I liked the book but love the movie.

Good actors, mediocre writing
Verified purchase
Okay, I have to admit that the only reason I purchased this was because I was in the mood for a romantic comedy and Daniel Lissing was in this movie (I was a fan of When Calls the Heart). This movie was a bit disappointing. Of course you'll get all of your romantic comedy wants, like a nice love story and a happy ending, but the writing had no flow and it was a bit predictable. I would have only rented it but there was no option for that at the time.
