This can happen to many of us--- rich/poor.
South Korea has made an amazing recovery since then and cleaned up many problems.
Some other problems got worse (e.g. gap between rich and poor).
Korean people donated their precious items (gold, silver worth multiple thousands of dollars per person), to help their country recover.

A good representation of the Asian Financial Crisis in Korea.

The ramifications of the IMF intervention carries on to today in Korea. The next crisis is likely to be even bigger. However, this time around, the US may also be in precarious situation itself, which means, this time around it will likely not be limited to Asia.

That this happens is scary.

This is my idea of a horror movie. Especially when I know this can happen.

Movie is brilliant, but the wobbly camera makes it a bit hard to watch. My husband loved this movie! Learned a lot about the IMF.

My daughter worked on the set design for this film, and so far it is only available streaming, rather than by DVD or BluRay here in the States.
