Enjoyable.

Old Mr. Wilson wanting his peace and respect is a lot more relatable than Dennis' menacing friendship. Even Dennis' mom and dad, well-meaning as they are, can be a bit too distant in their lack of discipline. But boy what a good time we have in our invincible youth. Old Mr. Wilson does have the tendency to be a little too restrictive and busy-body. But boy don't we get tired of pushy neighbors.

It's like Home Alone with the bullying friends and old misunderstood neighbor and misunderstood troublemaker and shared intrusive threat (plus Kevin McAlister's annoying brother makes an appearance here). Either way, differences aside, they're still neighbors, fighting against robbers of joy who menace a community they never wanted to be a part of.

Great family movie!

One of Walter Matthau's best! A great story of a typical family balancing the pressures of work with raising a child. The opportunity for the curmudgeon Mr. Wilson (Matthau) to be in close confines with his neighbor's mischievous young boy Dennis "the Menace" (Mason Gamble) provide for almost endless humor as these two opposites interact and teach one another. I would be remiss if I did not include the superior performance of the supporting cast and especially Christopher Lloyd. A GREAT movie and I highly recommend.

Cute show

Much like home alone this show is entertaining and funny. A small boy wrecks havoc on the local grump. Matthau brings pizza with his facial and expressions and reactions that make this a fun family flick

This is a laugh-out-loud movie and can especially be enjoyed by Baby Boomers who have memories of being able to ride their bikes all over the neighborhood for hours at the time, only having to be home by dark. There are so many details and funny things happening that watching it once is not enough. This is as funny the second or third time as it was the first time!
The "bad guy" in the story is an over-the-top villain and for some children he could be too much and might scare them to the point of nightmares. You would need to know how your child reacts to bad guys, and this is one ugly bad guy! But good wins out over bad in the end with Dennis as the hero and the villain getting his due! From Dennis, of course! Walter Matthau is perfect as the grumpy old Mr. Wilson. Mason Gamble is the cutest little fellow and never comes across as whiny or spoiled as it would be easy for Dennis to appear. Actually, all the casting was perfect- the parents, Mrs. Wilson, Dennis' friends... it was as if they stepped out of the comic strip and into the movie!
We got our movie much quicker than we were told to expect and in excellent condition. Thanks!

This movie had my husband & I laughing more than we have in a long time. It was a much needed change from the movies & liberal tv programs that are full of foul language & violence, as well as the fake news!

Dennis the Menace movie is a good family friendy movie you can watch with the whole family. The kids that play Dennis and Margaret are adorable and good little actors. Walter Matthau is his usual funny and entertaining self. I guarantee you will walk away with a smile on your face and in your heart after watching this.

This is such a fun movie! I watched this while I folded laundry and this brought back memories. After putting on the captions, the movie became even funnier because I actually paid attention to what the characters were saying. Love it! My kids were a bit afraid of Christopher Lloyd in this though.

It's an hilarious movie. It is wonderful to see little "Amy" (the child who plays Margaret) in her first real role. Of course, she's an adult now. The last time I saw her she was only about 17 months old visiting her grandmother in Boca Raton back in the 80's. She was a brilliant baby. Very smart with the one-liners she would come up with. Walter Matthau is wonderful in any movie he had played. It would be tough to create a remake better than this one. The DVD is good quality and there were no issues in the delivery process, either.
