On killing the Alon champion, Cain is told to visit Yanden to find a secret weapon to defeat the Sansein. When they arrive they find a planet with downtrodden people and a resistance group run by a mother and daughter team. They also find weird experiments to run faster than light travel have created abominations called the Neverseen due to their version of stealth technology. The Never seen are harder to kill than the Slayers! Intrigue and action ensue as they try and discover what has gone on here and determine what needs to be done to help everyone....

If you guys are going to try to write with big words you should learn what the mean
You have a frequent and extensive malaprop use of lots of word which do not mean what you use them for:circumvent dies not mean circumnavigate; ferment does not mean foment; intensively does not mean intently , etc., etc etc. But you have written a good story and I am still reading in spite of your miuse of the language.

Since read all of the Reaper series, this book was a pleasant revisit with all the characters of the series. I especially liked the development of the character from a viscous assassin who is totally self assured to one, while still quite capable of doing what he’s been trained to do, is now realizing that his new friends often have good advice. Despite his blustering way, he is beginning to accept their advice and to value their friendship. I also enjoyed the same change in his relationship with his imbedded artificial intelligence advisor. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Halle Cain, X37, Elise and a dozen other interesting people trying to stay alive long enough to go somewhere they can live in peace. It has been engrossing. I did find more spelling and grammatical errors in this book but not enough to ruin the experience.
