I loved every story I've read by K.M. Banet. This story was a long awaited conclusion to the Kaliya Sahni series. The story revolves around the leaders of two smaller supernatural species, the Naga and Cambion races,
Kaliya, Naga leader and her half-demon, half-human mate, leader of the Cambion's species, Raphael.
The two face threats from enemies bent on genocide of both races. Their love and honorable leadership through these horrendous attacks makes the characters more loveable in each book.
I loved the respectful nod to Hinduism subtlety infused into the stories making the tales so enjoyable to read as they felt authentic.
I did like the way the story concluded and can't wait to immerse myself into the next story this author pens. Great job.

I wasn't really sure how Kristen was going to wrap up everything in this last book, but damn did she take us on a ride or what! Kaliya’s story has been an amazing journey, and I never expected to get to where we are now from the first book. What an amazing development and natural progression. I loved how different threads were pulled together, and the ending for me was perfect.

I do hope we get to see her in passing in others’ journeys, but this feels like a natural end. Even if that makes me a little sad.
