The Devil's Guests
From outside the hotel looks like any other in the city. Inside though, a maze of ever-changing corridors, rooms filled with death, traps and - behind the reception desk with a welcoming smile, a sadistic owner who can not wait to help his guests check-out permanently.
From the twisted imagination of Matt Shaw, and partly based on the serial killer H. H. Holmes, comes a new extreme horror and a new way of telling the story. While Shaw writes the part of Henry, the sadistic serial killer, he has invited some leading horror authors to write their own characters - introducing them to the hotel before Shaw finishes the story off. This is not an anthology. This is one story with guest authors.

Sam West is a British, extreme horror author with more than forty books to her name. If you like your fiction dark, gritty, gory, perverse and truly terrifying, then you're in the right place.
She can be contacted at samwest666@outlook.com .
Ryan Harding is the three-time Splatterpunk Award-winning author of books like Genital Grinder and collaborations with Jason Taverner (Reincursion, Reincarnage), Kristopher Triana (The Night Stockers), Lucas Mangum (Pandemonium), and Edward Lee (Header 3). His short stories have appeared in the anthologies Brewtality, The Distended Table, The Big Book of Blasphemy, The New Flesh: A Literary Tribute to David Cronenberg, Splatterpunk Forever, Past Indiscretions, Masters of Horror, Into Painfreak, DOA 3, and The Year's Best Hardcore Horror Vol. 3. His work has also been published in German and Polish. Upcoming projects include the collection Transcendental Mutilation from Death’s Head Press, a novel with Bryan Smith, and a splatter western.
David Moody first released Hater in 2006 and, without an agent, sold the film rights for the novel to Mark Johnson (producer, Breaking Bad) and Guillermo Del Toro (director, The Shape of Water, Pan's Labyrinth). Moody's seminal zombie novel Autumn was made into an (admittedly terrible) movie starring Dexter Fletcher and David Carradine. He has an unhealthy fascination with the end of the world and likes to write books about ordinary folks going through absolute hell. With the publication of new Autumn and Hater stories, Moody has furthered his reputation as a writer of suspense-laced SF/horror, and "farther out" genre books of all description. "Rolfe is a vital part of this horror generation." - Brian Keene, World Horror Convention Award Grandmaster of Horror, and author of GHOUL and THE RISING
Glenn Rolfe is an author from the haunted woods of New England. He has studied Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University and continues his education in the world of horror by devouring the novels of Stephen King, Richard Laymon, Brian Keene, Jack Ketchum, and many others. He has three children, Ruby, Ramona, and Axl. He is grateful to be loved despite his weirdness.
He is a Splatterpunk Award nominee and the author of Until Summer Comes Around, Ascension Agenda, Blood and Rain, The Window, Becoming, The Haunted Halls, Chasing Ghosts, Abram's Bridge, Things We Fear, Boom Town, and the collections, Slush and Land of Bones.
Look for his next novel, August's Eyes, coming from Flame Tree Press in 2021.
Richard Chizmar, New York Times and USA Today Best Selling-Author of Gwendy’s Button Box, says of Rolfe’s Blood and Rain: “A wonderful throwback to the fun and bloody days of paperback horror glory!”
Adam Cesare, author of Clown in a Cornfield adds: "Many authors nowadays get lauded for writing 'throwback' horror fiction, but none of them quite goes the distance as Rolfe does in Blood and Rain. Werewolves, silver samurai swords, and small New England towns: it all makes you wish this was twenty years ago so you can take the paperback off a supermarket spinner-rack and huff the yellowed pages."
Booklist says of Rolfe’s Until Summer Comes Around: “Rolfe is a rising talent in the horror field. Fans of The Lost Boys film will enjoy this, and Rolfe puts his own spin on the standard summer bloodsucker tale."
He is hard at work on many more. Stay tuned!

Jim Goforth is a horror author currently based in Albury, Australia. Happily married with two kids and a cat, he has been writing tales of horror since the early nineties.
After years of detouring into working with the worldwide extreme metal community and writing reviews for hundreds of bands across the globe with Black Belle Music he returned to his biggest writing love with first book Plebs published by J. Ellington Ashton Press. Along with Plebs, he is the author of a collection of short stories/novellas With Tooth and Claw, extreme metal undead opus Undead Fleshcrave: The Zombie Trigger, Riders: Plebs 2-Book One and Two, co-author of collaborative novel Feral Hearts and editor for the Rejected For Content anthology series (taking over the reins after volume one Splattergore. Coming next from Jim will be a brand new novel, The Sleep, another collab novel Lycanthroship, a host of undisclosed projects, as well as appearances in Vampz vs Wolvz, Matt Shaw’s The Devil’s Guests and numerous other anthologies.
He is currently working on several new novels.
Wade H. Garrett is an American novelist specializing in the extreme-horror genre. He was born and raised in Texas, and currently resides in Central Texas.
Wade uses extreme violence and the most abhorrent and disturbing combination of visceral words to get his point across. He pushes the boundaries of human torment and suffering, and his books should only be read by the seasoned extreme-horror reader.
Many of Wade's fans have said his books are original, thought-provoking, and some of the most graphic literature they've ever read.
Wade's writing can be very technical and detailed at times. This is a reflection of life experiences combined with his technical knowledge and abilities.
He's published by German publisher, Festa-Verlag, under their extreme category. He also sells paperbacks, Kindle books and audio books on Amazon.
Wade is very active on social media and loves interacting with his readers. You can find him at:

The strongest stories, for me, came towards the end, with the best three being written by Jasper Bark, Wrath James White, and Mark Tufo, with honorable mentions to authors Sam West, Kealan Patrick Burke, and Jeff Strand, for their strong contributions. The remaining authors were all solid as well, but not quite at the level as the ones I mentioned. Still, this was an enjoyable read and contained some rather wildly inventive torture sequences. The ending felt too short and overall could have used some additional editing or smoothing out. I would still recommend this book, especially with the amount of quality horror authors involved.

It really did feel like the work of several authors crudely stitched together and didn't work at all.

It works really well and flowed despite all the different authors. It is very sick and twisted. Based on the murder hotel by H.H.Holmes. Some of the scenes are so disgusting I gagged
Really enjoyed the bonus material at the end. I can see why the shorten story was used
