I can never say enough how much I love this show

Of the TV series I've been willing to buy and add to my collection, the Dick Van Dyke Show was easy - and honesty, one of the few. We have a bunch of movies, but when it comes to TV, I'm really picky. This show is one I watch again and again. The cast is top notch and while some (Buddy and Sally) were old time vets by the time they did this show, others were just coming the scene - Mary Tyler Moore's Laura is a TV legend and Mary herself would go on to TV glory. Dick Van Dyke needs no introduction - he's always been stellar. This is a great show and a wonderful way to spend time - if you think you've seen great TV and not seen this show, you're missing out. We love it!

Impossible to navigate between episodes

DO NOT BUY!!! You can only watch the first episode on each disk. Even if you wait for the first episode to complete, the disk just takes you right back to it! I wonder if the other episodes are even on the disk. A complete rip off. Amazon shouldn't even be selling something this stupid and defective.

Season Three gets even better.
Verified purchase
I have just finished Season Three and will start soon on Season Four. I have been very pleased with the entire set. It is done in quality packaging (although I wish the main box were more substantial). There are no bad spots or edits as in some boxed DVD TV shows. I have not watched all the "extras" on each individual show but the ones I have watched have been informative as well as entertaining. In season three you can tell the actors are much more at ease and seem to fall naturally into their conversations with one another and nothing is forced as in some of season one's shows. This is real enjoyment and I look forward to watching seasons four and five.

The Dick Van Dyke Show is the all-time best show every

In my opinion, The Dick Van Dyke Show is the all-time best show every!!! Great comedy! Great acting! And great rapport between the actors! Though there are several episodes that especially shine as my favorites, all of the episodes of all 5 seasons are fantastic!

I love all the extras and interviews that are included in this package: it is a wonderful treat and a great pleasure to listen to the interviews of the actors and actresses reminiscing and telling stories of their time together. This company also did a fantastic job restoring these great classics: the picture and sound are wonderfully clear.

If you enjoy laughing, or need to laugh, these shows are for you. "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine..." (Prov 17:22)

I chose this 5 star rating because you don't get a good laugh with such cleaver writing from anything else now days. This was comedy at its BEST. The episodes like "The Masterpiece" with Howard Morris playing the zany art appraiser will have you cracking up. There is also the hilarious one with Rob's new sports car The Tarantula! Just priceless! I would recommend any of the Dick Van Dyke series to people of ALL AGES, as it is 100% Family entertainment.
