3.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, but not as practical as so hoped.
By Amazon Customer on September 17, 2021
I absolutely love the Diono car seats. Unfortunately after one week and 2 airplane rides the Diono Flexa was not up for the task. It looks great, very attractive stroller. Not so easy to fold, medium weight. But a not a good travel stroller. Seams came apart in both sides of calm support, harness padding lost during flight, and the 5 point harness is a design flaw. Not practical for an active toddler. Was very difficult to secure. The seat is shallow therefore it seems like you are forced to raise the calf support for extra depth to seat. The metal bars prevent you from putting anything wider in the storage pouch underneath. I am returning it reluctantly because I really like this company, but I am confident the design will evolve.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ducati of Strollers
By Antoinette on January 15, 2021
I once heard someone refer to this stroller as "The Ducati of Strollers". I now know why. This stroller is sleek and very fancy. It fits in tight spaces and folds down in seconds. You can pretty much do it with one hand. It's prepared for any kind of weather. It's also relatively lightweight. There's no struggle to lift it out of a trunk or up stairs. You definitely want to try this out. I highly recommend it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information that I've provided makes your decision a little easier.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth lightweight stroller for newborn/toddler
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 14, 2021
I was absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to review this stunning pram, especially as i had recently had my second child. Before this opportunity, i was briefly familiar with the brand Diono as i had previously owned a childrens car mirror by them, but had no idea that they did strollers. I do find that as a parent, whether it's first time or experienced, it can be extremely overwhelming keeping up to date with all of the different brands out there.

Diono Flexa, seems to be marketed as the pram perfect for your typical 'city' individual on the move. I live in a city [check] and before covid i was on the move so i'll tick to that too!

➊ Unboxing & Assembly - The pram comes in a very compact black box, which from the outside is VERY intriguing as it actually doesn't show you the design pram, only has the description, along with the brandings motives and aims. As a female, it was very easy to take out of the box, whilst i rejected my partners offer to help with assembly just to see how straight forward it is. It comes with a manual guide that has really good visuals and is easy to follow. It took me around 15 minutes to put the pram together which i thought was pretty amazing and straight forward. Assembly consisted of fitting the front wheels, pram hood and bumper bar.

➋ Design - The design of this pram is very striking. I love colourful items, where this shade 'blue turquiouse' really stands out, and what i like most about it is that it is suitable for any gender. This stroller is extremely lightweight so easy to carry if needed to be carried/lifted, whilst the navigation does take getting used to, however once you are familiar with it's functions its very simple to use. I find that all prams are different, however once you have one, you will be able to adapt to another. When i first tried to get used to this pram, i did find it took me a few minutes to really grasp the pull handle to open and close the pram, however once you get the technique it is fine. The pram moves extremely smooth whilst the storage under the pram is very reasonable in terms of space.

It has a freestanding fold, so can be stored wherever standing upright on it's own which i think is soo handy. There is a clip on the side of the pram that keeps the pram in place for when it is closed down, which makes the freestanding fold effective. If you are tall like me (5ft 8) than you will really appreciate the adjustable handles which can be expanded for a more comfortable stroll. This back wheels on this stroller have double wheels which makes it very sturdy, whilst the fact that it is front facing makes it great for little ones to view the world from their comfortable seat. Clipping the baby in, was very easy to do with the double clips.

➌ Suitable from birth - This stroller states that it is suitable from birth, however my first impressions from even looking at it, is that it most certainly isn't. I however read into it, and it is suitable from birth, however you need to a separate accessory called the 'new-born pod' in order for this function. This accessory seems to retail at around £100, which i think is quite cheeky and unnecessary additional cost (half the price of the stroller itself). I think this cost would put any new parent off, so i'm quite lucky that my 3 month old is getting chunkier and comfortable to sit in position he is, although i prefer babies to be laying until 6 months which they do recommend. For this reason, this pram is more suited for a toddler, only if you don't intend to purchase the extra accessory!

➍ Extra's - The Diono Flex comes with a rain cover and infant car seat adaptors which can be clipped in, if you want to place your compatible car seat on it to create your own personalised travel system.

➎ Summary - As much as i love this pram, i can only give it 4 stars just as there is definitely room for improvement and for me, its not as fit for purpose for my circumstance. For instance, as i drive a lot, it is more ideal to have the same travel system (pram/car seat) however with this you need to make sure that whatever car seat you have is compatible with it and if it isn't, it's potentially another additional cost. The same goes for the suitability for a newborn, if you don't do your research, you will be very disappointed and annoyed to realise you need to cough up another £100 for their newborn pod, which i personally think should be included as they market it suitable from birth. It is however perfect for toddlers in terms of sizing, however a foot muff may be needed for the winter, and as a whole it navigates very smoothly and elegant. It definitely is perfect if you live in the city, however in the city with a car, might be a bit tricky.

➏ Rating - 4 out of 5 stars ★★★★☆

4.0 out of 5 stars Light and compact stroller that is easy to store, quite long when folded, not ideal if tall person
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 26, 2020
This is a really easy to put together stroller, the only bit we had to work out was how the back of the hood went, it folds underneath at the back of the seat. The instructions are bit rubbish, there are pictures but no text or real explanation of if your putting it up correctly, this is not specific to this pram though it happens on quite a few of the instructions iv seen.
I really love that the pram will stand on it's own folded up, it means it really does take less space than other strollers, perfect if you have a small space available or want to stand it without leaning against a wall and it is quite stable for its tall size.
The pram front wheels have a locking switch at the bottom, which is great as you can lock them in position when not in use and important when standing it up on its own. The seat is adjusted pulling a drawstring, very easy and simple to do and it means that you are not defined to certain positions as our larger pram is, you can adjust to your child's needs as they develop. Our daughter is in the point where she doesn't like to lay down but not yet ready to set fully up, we could make it so she was comfy and happy.
The handles can be pulled up or down depending on your desired height by pressing the button on the top and pushing or pulling, however I am 6.2 and did find that they didn't quite go up enough for me, it was fine on the flat but going down hills I felt that I needed a little more height to be fully comfy, however this is a trade off with the fact that the stroller is quite low down and its small. There is a safety loop which is a nice touch, which you can put round your wrist, though again I felt it was a little low down for going down hills for me. The other issue I had due to my height was the fact that due to the pram having a small with I had to be careful with me feet not to touch the wheels.
On each time I have taken the pram out our daughter has gone to sleep so this is a testament to the fact that it is a smooth ride, I have taken the pram to the park and also round our village centre. The park is bumpy and the stroller handled it well, it is a little on the rigid side without soft suspension but nothing too annoying.
I have tried in both wet and dry conditions and the stroller was stable in both types of weather, it handled the wet quite well with only a few leaves getting stuck under the front wheels, however I was able to clean any mud off very easily and the wheels seem to have decent grip, it did not slip and cause me any problems with handling.
I am using the basket below to store the supplied rain cover, it is not really very accessible for shopping or anything like that because it's directly under the seat and hard to access.
One thing I did really like about the stroller is the position of the back brake, it's above the wheels and not in the centre which means that since I am quite tall I don't accidentally touch it as I walk and put the break on, I have done this with out other pram, no issues here at all because the breaks are not located where your feet go.
One annoying thing I have found is that the peep window on the top of the stroller is fine for a brief look at how your child is doing but there is no mechanism to keep it open. Our other pram has a little magnetic fastener so it will stay open and I like to keep an eye on how our daughter is going without disturbing her if she is asleep. I found that here the flap just keeps closing after a while especially in the wind, it just won't stay up. The addition of a clip to keep it open would have been a welcome addition.
Another issue is that the pram is quite tall when folded, it is compact but tall and this may cause issues with fitting it in a boot. I have a Yaris, which is a small car and to fit it in comfortably I detached the front wheels, they are easy to take off, it's just one quick button push and again easy to put back on. However it is important to note if you are are panning to put this in the boot of a small car it maybe an issue you come across.
This is a really good, lightweight, stable, small and well made stroller, it's a shame there are a just a few annoying niggles.

Pros:
- Well made
- Light
- Stands up without support when folded
- Easy to use and put together
- Looks good
- Back brakes are not in the centre and above the wheels so not accidental activation
- Handles wet and dry conditions well
- Easy to clean
- Adjustable seat height and handles
- Our daughter was happy in it
- Felt nice to manoeuvre and handles well
- Supplied rain cover

Cons:
- When folded it is quite long so you might have to take the wheels off to fit in some boots
- Handle height could have been a bit higher for tall mums and dads
- Im 6.2 and did clip the wheels a few times with my big feet while walking
- Peep hole window flap just won't stay open especially in any wind
- Storage space is lacking but idea for the rain cover
