I will not watch the much awaited 2nd season until all episodes are available. C'mon, first you make us wait almost 2 years for a second season, and then you trickle the episodes down as if we were still watching TV in the '80s. Not sure what motivated this choice, but I can tell you that the only result is to piss people off. I still haven't signed up for Sundance, but I'm already disappointed. Lawrence
This isn't a review of the content, which is excellent. It is a review of Sundance Now/Shudder not including statements here (aside from the product picture in your browsing history) that clearly states new episodes available weekly. Based on their social media advertising, I was left with the false impression the entire second season would be made available. I hope Amazon includes a statement on this to remark that AMC Networks is only releasing these on a weekly basis. That is perfectly fine by me, but it should be more clearly disclosed.
Just finished watching the 1st episode of Season 2 Discovery of Witches and can not wait for the next. Yes, you must wait. I"m ready to buy Season 2 (have the 1st Season) and binge watch the whole thing.
I believe this first episode definitely met my expectations. It is different from the book, but so was the first season, and the first season was great as well. I just wish we didn't have to wait each week for a new episode. Shudder as well as Sundance would make good money if they would allow us to pay for the whole second season to watch in one sitting.
This series has a place in my heart right up there with Outlander, The Originals, Dexter, UltraViolet (not to be mistaken with the movie, this is a series cut too short), Kindred-The Embraced, True Blood, Penny Dreadful (the first one),, Tudors, and many others. This first episode of the second season had my heart pounding in amazement at how well this is done. Beautiful. I can't wait for more. I thought they would have added the entire second season like they did for another fav of mine Vikings but I'll have to wait. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. YOU WILL CRAVE MORE!!! :)=
This continues to be one of the best adaptations made for screen. The writing and acting are impeccable. The onscreen chemistry between the leads is electrifying. Can't wait for the dvd to be available in the US, in the meantime I await each episode on Saturdays. It is incredible how close to the books this series has been. I have read all 4 books and hope there will be more.
There are many 1 star reviews complaining about this being a weekly show as opposed to a full season dump. I don't think they realize this is an AMC show and therefore it is weekly on TV. It is ashame that the low reviews for frequency bring down the average for this incredible series.
