Nope, this Chapter didn't completely tie in everything. They explained the Orichi experiment. That I got. The "soldiers" story, I got that. But what happened to the twin brothers and their people? That story has a lot of gaps, like how and why did things end up the way they did? So many unanswered questions! Lol. It was still, somewhat, a good storyline and great artwork/animation, so I give it 4 stars. I need to see if they have a manga of this so I can read the entire story instead.

Little consistency from Chapters 1 and 2, difficult to follow

This seems to be an addendum to the anime series Laughing under the Clouds, and solely for those who've watched that series. It doesn't really gel as a secondary series, and each Chapter has little required viewing of the prior series. It's odd. This one has compelling characters, but a jumbled plot. I enjoyed Chapter 2 the most, with Chapter 1 and close second. This however i could have left.

Gotta love closure in a series instead of loose threads

They don't just leave you hanging wondering how things turned out. This series does an amazing job hooking you then giving you the origin stories and wrapping it up with what happened in the aftermath. Fantastic all the way around. The previous movies can be stand alone but this one would be confusing without at least 1 of the others for reference. Nothing wrong with that though cuz the title stating it's part 3 should be a clue that ya might've wanted to see the others before this one. 🧐🤔😉
