I saw some reviews saying that kids are removing these easily and they are flimsy, and I'm wondering if they've got the wrong product. Or perhaps they didn't firmly snap the halves together? That's all I can come up with.

I popped one on a random knob just to try it. I decided I didn't want it there and I nearly killed myself trying to get it off. I never even put the screw part on, just trying to pry apart the 2 halves was nearly impossible. I tried coax it a few different ways, but finally I just had to go full strength and pull. I pulled so hard it broke a little plastic on the connecting pieces, but it still works.

So ignore the negative reviews, these suckers work, maybe a little too well. Oh and be certain of where you want them before you snap them together. You will have a hell of time getting them open.

We have a few of these on a couple doors around the house. My 28 month old hasn’t figured out how to use them correctly so we really like them. My only issue is that if you slam the door and the plastic is impacted it breaks open (doesn’t actually break) just opens. I still have it five stars because it’s so easy to install and use and move around from room to room! I even have one on both sides of the bathroom door so my son can’t go in and when he’s in there with me he can’t get out lol! We’ve also had these for almost a year, so they’ve lasted so far. Very happy with the purchase.

I needed to secure my home for safety. My 2 year old is a master at escaping he is tall enough now to open and unlock the doors. When i put this on he was not happy at all but seems to accept it. He cant figure it out. I feel safer knowing he cant get out unless i am with him he is beginning to understand. Thanks!

There are 10 pieces total (2 are needed for a single knob) that are all exactly the same. This is really nice design if you lose one it's not like it has two exactly with only one other type of piece.
These are roomy enough to fit over most knobs but also not so loose that they don't work on somewhat smaller knobs.
It is easy enough as the adult to still open the door (the open hole design on the sides is much better than the door knob covers that require you to pinch in the plastic/silicone)
When the pieces are apart the plastic feels a little flimsy, but once it's put together on the door we've had no issues.

It is a great product that is perfect for keeping my two year old out of areas he does not need to get it. This does not really matter to me, but I will mention it. Removing it is pretty difficult. Make sure it is on a door you really don't want your kids in. That is a great factor for me though, because my two year old is really good at taking random things apart. I think if it was too easy to remove he would be able to take it apart. The product is well made and does not feel fragile. I will be purchasing more if I need to!
