5.0 out of 5 starsAwesome movie for all ages that teaches a valuable lesson about acceptance and being who you are.

Our family was this at a theater. I was expecting to be bored and was really surprised. It is funny and hits a home run with all ages. Awesome lesson for kids about fitting in....don't try...be yourself but it takes courage. It made us all laugh. I purchased this for movie night at my house.

1.0 out of 5 starshorrible - not for kids - or anyone for that matter

I wish I had never seen this movie. It is disturbing and dark and horrible. Not for kids. The movie starts out feeling kind of fun-ish and I thought it might be okay. Then it took a left turn and next thing I know Dora is singing about going to the bathroom WHILE someone is going to the bathroom. Then it gets worse and there's a sequence in the middle that is very inappropriate. Then it gets really dark and they get into idol sacrifice. Utterly disturbing.

I purchased this movie on prime to watch in the house. My kids ages 10 and 7 loved it. There were few scenes where my 7 year old got a little scared but otherwise, we all enjoyed it.

Great movie. Definitely recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 starsCinematic Herpes

The absolute definition of cinematic garbage. The actors all suck, the plot makes no sense, the humor doesnt land, the visual effects are all terrible. And worst of all this film tries to win brownie points by pandering to latin american cultures. If you want a more intelligently executed version of this plot with greater heart, go watch Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade instead. Otherwise, you are literally making your kids dumber by taking them to watch this.

5.0 out of 5 starsA surprisingly funny movie!

I originally showed this movie trailer to my kids as a joke (thinking it would be similar to the tv show-which they have outgrown), but we all wanted to see it after watching the trailer. I love that it makes fun of itself (well, the original tv show). It's perfect for those that grew up watching the tv show, but are now a bit older. And it has an Indiana Jones feel to it - which we love!

5.0 out of 5 starsPure Joy on Film

I had never seen the cartoon, but all the trailers for this made it look like fun, and the movie did not disappoint. I have watched it three times now, and each time my face hurt from smiling so much. Isabela Moner is wonderful as Dora, and she shined brightly throughout. One of my absolute favorite movies of the year!

1.0 out of 5 starsMediocre acting, weak story line and lamest villain ever!

Story is really weak, acting is mediocre. Dora is now a teenager, uses disguised bad words and wears tight clothes, this seems appropriate for the target audience but why using a character that is strongly associated to preschoolers? The producers could easily create another character but it seems like imagination is something scarce now. I was very disappointed. One hour of my life I won't ever get back. No, I don't recommend this trash.
