This was a 3.5* read for me.
Mainly because Dex and Brooke are a different kind of flavor.. One that I can't quite place.
But also because Dex, I was wondering for majority of the book, why HE got a book... Anyway, if you like hot Alpha-Submissive males, then Dex and this book was written for you...

He and Brooke had some hot 🔥 intense moments, yes. Some I thought should have been expounded upon more, but whatever. That was my own greediness. Wanting to see EVERYTHING once I got use to the type of Tango they liked to do with one another.. But, even though this union was a bit unorthodox for me, in this world, it still somehow worked with them. And Dex is a teddy bear 🧸 So there is that too.

But what I really was invested in was the HUGE reveals as to why Brooke was in Shadow Valley to begin with, and all the other dirty secrets that came to light because of it. These things brought a major shift to the direction the club is moving in. Which was great and about time. What left me wanting big time was the details of what actually occurs with Pierce in the aftermath of such huge & grotesque reveals.. so these are all the reasons why this one received 3.5 * from me.

Hopefully I get more details on the Pierce front in Linc's book.

As always please read in order. This is an awesome series. READ IT!

Secrets never stay in the past and they have a way of twisting the past and the present together tightly. Things for the Dirty Angels have been difficult lately, with the Warriors still making trouble and betrayal from the inside coming to light and in the mix of all that comes Brook with even more secrets! With the reveal of these secrets justice is served and Zak is vindicated! This book was a surprise in that Dex was able to give up control. Where the other men in an MC wouldn't let their women take control if their lives depended on it, Dex truly enjoyed Brooke being on top--literally and figuratively. He was able to explore parts of himself in ways he never imagined. I think this gave a bit of balance to him settled him, that made him a better man and a better brother.

This is a little fun but with lots of spikey punches. The female is strong as most the men in this series. My favorite parts are at the shooting range and when the warriors turn up planning to rape her and hold Red at gun point... She pretty much takes out two of them, and oh she is not gentle with Pierce either. I think its fun that Dex is into being dominated by his woman... But they actually share it. T would be nice if they could make an appearance in a future book with her sister Kelsey.

Yet again an excellent, well written book. Lots of things come to light, lots of Angels are very angry, but not with Brooke or Dex.
