As a practical and geographical abstraction of paradise in our world, Dr. Amos Raviv chose three archipelagoes in the Pacific, which he named the Triangle of Paradise: Samoa, Tonga and Fiji. Three different islands, on each one of which a person can find their own private paradise.
So how can one really attach the word “stuck” when referring to paradise?
Stuck in Paradise is about people Amos and his wife Anat met while sailing around the world on a catamaran. These people—rich and poor, happy and sad, foreigners and locals—despite living physically in the paradise of the Pacific, are often deprived of joy and pleasure.
This book brings philosophical thoughts about the essence of paradise from the standpoints of a diverse group of people, with different characters, temperaments and backgrounds. Within this mosaic, everyone can find the answers to the question of what their own private paradise truly is.
Sometimes even when everything goes your way—you might just be walking down the wrong road.
Two people with one vision – the unique travel diary of one couple who made their dream a reality.
After many years of multi-faceted, productive careers and successfully raising their family and children, Amos and Anat Raviv made the momentous decision to change their lives and realize their greatest dream - to sail around the world.
They rented out their home, transferred their entire lives to a small catamaran boat, and left all else behind to embark on a wondrous, one-off journey to countries and continents.
Together they observed, learned, experienced, reached new heights and achieved what so many of us aspire to – complete freedom with no time restraints, where everything is possible.
Living My FantaSea is an extraordinary, behind the scenes look at a rare journey through the eyes of the intrepid travelers themselves: meet the wonderful people they saw on the way, the new and different cultures they were privileged to encounter, and share in the exhilarating action and events that the average person never experiences in everyday life.

The only guide devoted entirely to the management of marinas
This book provides tools for strategic planning of an existing marina or for planning the establishment of a new marina and also provides the marina manager with tools for ongoing management of the marina.
The book includes:
- Documentation of an investigation of the international marina industry, encompassing both marina customers and managers.
- Empirical evidence to support the assumption that occupancy can be used as an index for marina profitability.
- Determination of the factors which affect occupancy and profitability. These factors are: associated services, environmental protection and, the local community. Two of the factors are exogenous: the local community and environmental protection, both of which managers tend to relate to less than internal factors at the marina such as the associated services.
- A first of its kind customer satisfaction survey regarding service at marinas worldwide.
Imagine that your business is a ship, and you are its captain, leading it to market shores. You cannot control the vast seas, the winds or the currents, the low or high tides, nightfall or daybreak, nor can you affect the weather conditions in any way.
However, you can set guidelines for your ship and crew, giving them instructions as to how to plan ahead, how to behave in certain conditions, which measures to undertake, what factors to consider, take down and analyze, and what actions to perform upon which conclusions are reached – while at sea, in real time.
Whether you are a manager, a CEO, a consultant, an analyst or still a student, this book is intended to help you dive into the complex world of strategy and strategy models in a straightforward and original yet not oversimplified way.
In this book you will learn strategy in the captains’ way:
- The unique Captain strategy template that can be implemented on any strategic model.
- New points of view and perspectives into your strategic thinking and management.
- "Instant descriptions" of all major strategic models used today in abridged user-friendly formats.
- Every model is demonstrated with a diagram, followed by a detailed explanation, and examples from the business world.
