Sigh .... I really wanted this to keep going a little further. You know you have a great book when you don't want to hit the last page.

Our queen to be has unexpectedly found a most unusual kin. I absolutely love love love this one and am overjoyed that she will not have to endure alone anymore. Jae has overcome so much and has had such a lonely life herself I found a few tears coming in the telling. Each discovers more about herself as the bond develops, both weaknesses and new strengths.

Just because things have "always been done" a certain way doesn't make it right for everyone, and sometimes new ways are needed to be found as both the village and individuals are discovering.

I also absolutely loved our "different" ones and the reverence the dragons have for them. I just wish our world was the same.

Audrey Fay is the kind of author that is rare... able to build worlds, and characters that are imbued with love and happiness! You actually learn to love the characters... and wish that you could sit down with them and chat. The Dragon Kin series is like that too! Jae and Fendellen is a wonderful read... and will make you wish the book was much longer than it is. A story of someone who does not really fit in where she is... finding where she is meant to be, and also realizing that she is worthwhile and greatly loved. These are happy stories... and an excellent way to get away from the day to day stuff that drags you down. Enjoy, and I wish you all the happiness I find in these books!

This is the fourth installment in the series,with a slight twist in the story line. It's still about trust and forming bonds between two different species but the Dragon finds someone not elf nor human, a totally new partner and one gifted in several areas of expertise that are much needed by both. I'm really enjoying this series and can't put them down once I get started.

This is the fourth in this series, and i can't wait for the next, last one. Surprising for Fendellen to have a kin. (It's in the title, so i'm not "spoiling")
The tone of this writers work is what attracts me always. There is tension without violence and i enjoy all her works.
I love that this series is written with her daughter as co-writer, a talent to look out for in the future.
I was given this advance copy for review, but i'm going to have to buy it to keep with the rest of her work.

I was drawn into the stories almost immediately. The mixing of dragons with elves and humans is magical. Couldn't stop reading the series. Finish one start another unless it's midnight or later. Must be read in order as each book is a continuation of the story. Each book is from a different character/dragon mix. Plenty of crying due to her making me feel the characters love, empathy, sorrow and caring of friends and "kin."
