Ah, the decision to round up or down can be difficult...

On the one hand, you have the 4 dragon shifter books, each of which was even better than the one before it and the 1st of those was very good! (Thus, the last was pretty darned great!) However, the last few chapters of the 4th dragon book felt rushed, and lacking...

Then you have the "bonus book"... Honestly, the "bonus book" was pretty lacking. In fact, after 6 chapters it was still so poorly written that I actually gave up on trying to force myself to read it! It was this "bonus book" that caused me to mark down this set from a 4.7, for the first 4 books, to a generous 4.5 for the set of 5 books. That final book was, in my opinion, maybe a 1.8, if that...

So, is this set worth reading? Only if you skip the last book; on wolf shifters.

Note that the teaser, on bear shifters, looks like it will live up to the dragon shifters set. I'm going to go pick that book up now! (But, no wolves, from this author, sadly...)

Although it was good to be introduced to the true king; it was even better that Dalyer the usurper was finally destroyed. However, it would definitely be enjoyable to revisit the Dragon Realm for updates on all the characters.
