It was the second movie of Doris Day I saw in the cinema as I had not seen her first movie then, she was a new singer to me but I was immediately one of het admirers and could see her first movie then also and that one "Romance on the high seas" I now had already on DVD but the recently released version on "Blu-Ray" was a highpoint for me, this was like seeing it in the cinema and perfect like "Young man with a horn" and I hope we get the others on Blu-Ray also like "It.s a great feeling", " Tea For Two", "lullaby of broadway" and not to forget "I,ll see you in my dreams".

This is Doris Day's second film and she is just wonderfulin it playing Martha Gibson,a young single mother trying to break into radio as a singer. With the help of JackCarson, who is also excellent in the film, and Eve Arden, Doris goes through many hilarious episodes trying to get an audition. There are many fabulous standard songssuch as I'll String Along WithYou, You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby and Nagaski plus many new songs written for the film including the title song, Someone Like You,Tic Tic Tic and Wake Up, Freddy, the highlight of a warm and funny film in which Miss Day and Jack Carson dressup as bunnies and perform withBugs Bunny and Tweety Bird. This film is well directed byMichael Curiz and gives a young Doris Day a chance to dosome fine acting and sing verybeautifully.

Well what can I say about this movie and every movie Doris Day has made. She is one of the best movie stars ever. Her movies for the most part are always happy,funny and good clean to her and t stories. I have just about all of her movies. There are 2 or 3 I can't find. I have always wanted write to tell her how much joy she has given me over the years. I plan to get her TV series when I can afford it. Thanks for giving me the chance to give my rambling comments.
