Once it started picking up speed it never stopped so stay with it. I read book 1 in this series awhile ago, and now book 4. They are stand alone, but as with most series, the character's from previous books, make appearances. I wasn't lost in not reading 2 or 3 and have them on my Amazon wish list when they go on sale.

My heart ached especially for Finn and how he was treated and the reason for his nightmares. Also, it wasn't easy what the h had to endure. I have no idea why her first husband made such a request of her! Didn't he know what his twin was like?

The H doesn't want to marry because he has experienced a great loss too. But, the main women in the clan, have different ideas - thankfully.

At about the 1/3 mark we are in for a surprise - no spoiler's! Wow, that certainly put a big kink in their lives!

There is lovemaking, within marriage, heat level 3 out of 5. Because they felt like a couple, it was filled with passion, not vulgar.

The children added to the story as did many secondary character's. So much suspense, intrigue and twists not to mention all the emotions you will use. I highly recommend this story and author.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romance and a tad of spice. (ljb)

Have enjoyed this series from the beginning and The Dreamer is another great addition!
This time we have Gretna, a healer and her three young boys who need a strong hand (oh yes they get into mischief!) One good union and then having married again to a swine who mistreated her. No husband for her again!

Ian Cameron has not had much luck either. His first wife and babe murder, a second died and now he was being pushed into marrying Gretna and take on her three boys!

A journey to find happiness is not an easy one. If seems accusations, superstitions, evil men, desire and finally love will when out when the Dream comes true!

For the love of Ian. What a great character. I would’ve followed h8ma anywhere. An and Greta fall prey to their matchmaking relatives and friends. Alexander the clan chief mandates Ian to be guardian for Gretnas 3 sons and requires they all live on the second floor of the keep. A handfasting soon follows to prevent rumors and hits to Gretnas reputation. Gretnas past raises its ugly head and cause some problems early on and for the rest of the story. Ian is the kind of hero every woman wishes for and makes the story quite entertaining.

While rumblings of witchcraft have echoed in previous books in this series, we get an astounding lesson on the lengths society went to in order to eradicate witches from their midst. We also learn what behaviors might cause someone to be called a witch. While fearing for my favorite characters, I also learned a great deal about a darkness that has plagued cultures across the globe.

He will only be staying with the clan for a short time, but life has a way of changing things. Ian steps up to help a widow, Gretna with her sons. Handfasted fir a year seems like to much in the beginning and then suddenly, not nearly enough. Great book
