In this book, the long lost loves are Michael Gallagher and Shay Angel. They made an appearance in a past book. If I remember correctly it was a Christmas novella (Christmas With an Angel, I just looked it up so I'd get it right for you). If you get the chance to read that first it will give you a glimpse into what was supposed to happen but... Well, if you are able to read it before this one you may want to. It's not very long so it won't take up a lot of your time and it's insightful. And now, on with the review for this book!
In this book (for real this time), ex lawyer now FBI agent Michael Gallagher is working on a major case involving the mob. He never thought it would all lead him home to Harmony Harbor but, alas, it did. Shay Angel has lost her uncle, or he managed to get himself lost in this great big giant mess and she needs, unfortunately, the help of the one man she ever loved and now wants to keep far far away from, Michael Gallagher. So, Shay and her colorful friend Cherry Blossom are heading to Harmony Harbor to find her uncle and clear his name. Now, while all this serious business is going on, there are a lot of silly shenanigans as well. Michael's mother wants him married to a respectable woman so she goes to some wild extremes. Cherry is a shenanigan in and of herself (and her little dog too). Then there's the strippers. That friendly meddling ghost, the best butler dude ever and so much more.
This is a kick butt, riotous, long lost love reunited under the strangest of terms story that is absolutely the perfect book in this series. I definitely still recommend this series and am moving myself on to the next book.
I don't know why the title says "two stories for the price of one" because there was only one story.
Most of the reviews I read were by people who were given free copies.
A Fairytale Bride was quick and fun to read. Jeff brings Melissa back into the land of the living. Love an old bookstore and the love that develops between them. Small towns love to interfere but it didn't help. Only the truth can set you free.
