2. If 45° elbow or extension needed, place the funnel after elbow or extension is placed well into the adapter opening.
3. Fill funnel slowly and carefully with coolant about 1/3 full.
4. When run the engine with funnel attached, fluid level should be at low position. Keep RPM on idle position. (Shut down the engine if notice the fluid level rise excessively. Wait for fluid level go lower before restarting the engine.)
5. Use Fluid Stopper for remaining fluid inside the funnel to flow to the radiator hose by squeeze it and release.
6. After finish, remove the funnel ( and or extension/elbow) & adapter, close the radiator with cap tightly.

Since I had to do the same for our 4Runner, I decided to get this funnel to see how well it worked. I had seen this design in a YouTube video prior, and it pique my interest. Not only did it prevent spills, but it also kept things clean in case you were to ever need to check for a leak. I was sold as soon as I saw it.
The video attached is the process of burping the cooling system in my 4Runner with this funnel. Not only was this efficient, and quick, but it was clean as well. I think I managed to lose 5 drops of coolant transferring the funnel from the radiator to the overflow tank, and that was probably just what was on the outside of the funnel neck.
I'd highly recommend this thing for your next coolant flush. It's totally worth the money, and everything seems to be top quality. It may not be something from the Snap-On truck, but it'll last if you take care of it.
EPAuto Spill Proof Radiator Coolant Filling Funnel Kit made it easier with its color coordinated parts so I was able to quickly find out which part goes with which. I needed the Blue cap adapter (or was it green) to do the job whereas other coolant filling funnel kit are all the same color, which makes it a bit more difficult to find connecting parts. What so great about this kit is that it comes with a stopper, so if you have any extra fluid in the funnel while filling your car coolant you can use the stopper and move the extra fluid somewhere else (like to the coolant reservoir or back into the coolant container). I would advise you to squeeze one of the big coolant hose to push back some coolant into the funnel so that after you put the stopper in and take the funnel out you will not spill any coolant from the coolant fill hole.
As a bonus this funnel kit has extensions that allow the funnel to reach places that requires more length with ease. Most funnels are too short and most big long funnels usually are too big to fit in areas with limited clear space. That is where the extension really shines and you will be glad it’s there when you need it.
If I can do it, most people can do it too and with ease as long as they follow directions. Don’t be timid and just grab this Funnel kit and do the change yourself because it is that easy and it does not take up much time plus it will save a few bucks doing it yourself (as a bonus your self-esteem will shoot the roof). I hope my review was useful to you and if it was, please give me a like so others can have the same experience as you.
will not work on a 2003 Camry XLE 3.0 v6.
I did manage to make it work using the blue insert with the green cap adapter but I had to install 2 o rings (1" I.D X 1.25" O.D WITH .125" section) between the blue adapter and the green cap adapter.
1- with a cool engine remove the radiator cap.
2- insert the blue adapter.
3- install o ring #1 over blue adapter
4- install o ring #2 on top off o ring #1
5- install green cap adapter.
I luckily had a Harbor Freight SAE O-Ring assortment . Item # 67554
The seal isn't perfect, so it does leak slightly when you use it, but much better than the old way for me at least. Previously I tried to purge the air out of the cooling system and it created a small volcano of coolant that spilled all over the place.
Additionally if you have poured too much coolant into the funnel, No Worries! You just use the seal to add the coolant back to the bottle. Like I said I loved using this product and has made doing a task that is usually a pain in the butt, much much better.

Lots of adapters and fittings for many different type of vehicles. The red unit worked for my engine, it went in clean and water-tight under full operating temperature and pressure, and the funnel held a good amount of coolant. I got most, if not all, air out after running the engine to operating temperature and gently squeezing the top rad hose. I guess the whole thing took about 15-20 minutes, with very minimal coolant spilled or wasted.
I understand that repeating the procedure several times from cold will totally remove all the air; I will do this over the next few days and see it it helps. I have to say, at this early stage, that I am impressed. Very impressed. Manufacturing quality and material are excellent, great value for money definitely!
I now anticipate being very popular with friends and relatives that want assistance with their own cooling systems. Happy to recommend this excellent set.
Parts all seem to be of the same quality I’d expect from the Lisle kit that costs almost double, I am pleased. The kit had an adaptor that easily fit the fill spout of my engine and didn’t leak at all during usage. It worked flawlessly as intended and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this kit to anyone.
One hiccup... the attachment for my radiator was a little loose. I bent the mating tabs in a hair and it worked wonderfully.
