They are having all these articles about Elvis and prescription drug abuse, so thought I would read Priscilla's account of their story and relationship. Very interesting and I think she was honest...but now a lot more time has passed since she wrote that book, and some of his "Mafia" members wrote books, and former girlfriends like Linda Thompson, who I also think was an honest truthful person, so the final consensus seems to be he didn't believe he was a drug addict because his drugs were prescribed...so much has changed in 40 years and today he could have been helped...but of course, he would be 83 even if he had lived a clean life. Sadly it changed his personality which a lot of those drugs do and Priscilla left when his life style became too much for her. I fully understand her dilemma....living with a group of men and never having any "alone time" with your husband, him always gone and leading the bachelor's life when away from home....I don't blame her a bit and for some reason he didn't understand the meaning of "marriage"...Seems like Lisa is doing okay now that she's nearly 50, 4 beautiful children. Elvis would have been proud.

I cannot believe it took me all these years to finally read this book. This book made me laugh as well as cry. I was so surprised with how forthcoming Priscilla was in this book. I am sure that there was some details about their life left out to protect Elvis legacy’s and his privacy. I love the fact that they remained friends until the end. I’ve watched many interviews of Priscilla and no one has ever asked her do she wish she had stayed, or why did they not give it a second try. I would love to know the answer. Priscilla didn’t even talk about how his 3 friends sold him out instead she just focused on them and their love. That’s classy to me. Great read!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book, I couldn’t help myself from reading half of it in one sitting. I love Elvis very much and reading this book made me feel like I was Priscilla (sounds crazy) but just imagining all the things he would tell her and their stories painted pictures in my mind that felt like I was experiencing it, so with that being said I wish this book didn’t end, the ending was very sad for me such a beautiful book.. so sad that I almost wish I didn’t read the ending Rest In Peace sweet baby and Happy Birthday Elvis

I’m usually not much of a reader but I couldn’t take my eyes off this book. I would wake up read it for an hour, then before bed I would read it for a few more hours. I read this book in 3 days and was very sad when it was over. It is great look into what Elvis’ life was like. Elvis is often painted out to be a villain and a less than fun person to be around but Priscilla addresses all of his issues but also talks about his intentions and how loving he was. I recommend!

I recieved elvis & me the other day was so lookin forward to reading it. But when unwrapped the book I found it was filthy I wiped it over with antibacterial wipes took 3 wipes to get it clean. The dirt that come of looked like nicotine so who ever had it before smoked also there was half a circle black looked like coffee or tea stain from a mug. With covid this should of been checked & cleaned. Its clean now cos I wiped & wiped it. But very disappointed that you let a customer have a book in that state ..

I read 'Child Bride' after this and found that far more revealing and believable. That earned a 5 star rating from me,
