Emily and Tim

 (12)5.91 h 30 min201618+
This is the story of the tumultuous marriage of Emily and Tim, from the night they meet to their twilight years over half a century later. Portrayed by six diverse pairs of actors, Emily and Tim wrestle with the extraordinary push and pull of a long-term relationship – the feelings of attraction and antagonism, the desire to please and the desire to dominate.

the many faces of Eve..whoops ..of Emily and Tim

You cannot relate to any of the characters. How can any actor develop chemistry if the actors are always changing? Each character is played by several actors. How can you connect to anyone when the faces constantly change ..one scene Tim is skinny white dude next scene he is a stocky Indian dude. Emily goes from Zosia Mamet to Alexis Biedel..2 completely different actresses. At one pint the camera has to actually pan to identify who the heck the new guy is...it is..surprise!!! Tim. All is explained by voiceover which I found annoying and leaving nothing to the brain to think about. I'm assuming someone wrote their life story ..the classic meet at dance. Say no, get married some small drama , affair, old age ... Ya know..the life we have seen heard and read countless of times. Anyway I stopped after about 35 minutes.

I very much enjoyed it.
A bit confused at first but I was pleasantly surprised by what I think was ingeniously done. I very much enjoyed it.

Simply a wonderful film; emotional, raw, angst-filled and real. Loved it!!!
