About the authors
Sky is a USA Today bestselling indie author who writes quirky romantasy and retold fairytales with dry humour where secrets are peeled back like onions. So far, Thumbelina has been updated for suspicious adults, a more sinister version of Cinderella was released on 21.12.20; an adult Red Riding Hood was released on 21.03.21; and a Wizard of Oz retelling emerged on 21.06.21. A secret eco-warrior, she has co-published several charity anthologies that collect funds in support of our oceans, rainforests and communities touched by wildfires. All her books are linked by some character or another and sometimes, in her standalones, she likes to make you choose, depending on your disposition (optimist vs pessimist) - 'coz the path that awaits depends on the decisions we take. (Well, except in the Magic Mirrors saga aka Cinders-Embers-Ash trilogy - because only Douglas Adams could pull off a trilogy in 5 parts.) She lives in Tallinn, Estonia, in a house with a small garden with her husband and mostly one, but on occasion plus four kids. No dog.
Besides fairytales, Sky keeps experimenting with different genres: myths&legends; steampunk; post-apocalyptic scifi; quirky fantasy romance and alternative history to name a few that are currently in the works.

Award-winning and USA Today Bestselling Author, Astrid V.J. was born in South Africa. She is a trained social anthropologist and certified transformational life coach. She currently resides in Sweden with her husband and their two children. In early childhood, she showed an interest in reading and languages—interests which her family encouraged. Astrid started writing her first novel at age 12 and now writes fantasy in a variety of genres, exploring her passion for cultures and languages. When she isn’t writing, Astrid likes to read, take walks in nature, play silly games with her children, do embroidery, and play music.
Astrid writes transformation fiction: incorporating transformation principles in novels, rather than writing another self-help book. She loves exploring the human capacity for transformation and potential to achieve success in the face of adversity. Astrid is interested in minority group questions, considerations on social standards of beauty and the negative consequences these have, and would like to make the fantasy genre accessible to people of non-white, non-Christian backgrounds. Astrid feels the fantasy genre has become too restrictive with limited representations of race, ethnicity and culture. She seeks to explore other paths on this writing journey, incorporating her background in anthropology and psychology to create engaging experiences, which also provide food for thought on the diverse topics she finds most important. These include: racism, minority rights, cultural diversity, culture change, intolerance, humanity’s environmental impact, the representation of people on the autism spectrum in among the general populace, the human capacity for transformation, and much more.
Alice is a USA Today Bestselling author. She lives in Bristol, UK, and has loved fantasy all her life. Her favourite authors are Brandon Sanderson and Holly Black. When she's not off gallivanting in other worlds, you can find her looking after her young son, working as a small animal vet, hanging out with her church family, or walking the best dog in the world with her husband.
Elena Shelest immigrated to the U.S. from Ukraine at the age 15. She currently resides in Oregon with her husband, two busy kids, and three pets.
Elena is a nurse, an artist, and an avid reader of fantasy and inspirational fiction. In her books, she is hoping to encourage others to look beyond what's possible and believe again that everyday miracles do happen.

Donna White is the author of The Whitmere Legacy series. She was born and raised in the South and moved to Southern California as a young adult. She splits her time between her husband, many children, large dogs, and her passion for nature and food photography. She writes epic, paranormal stories. You can find her on Instagram @whitmerelegacy or http://amazon.com/author/donnawhitethewhitmerelegacy.
Xander Cross enjoys a mostly quiet life with his spouse. He holds a bachelor’s degree in History, which he uses to write paranormal fiction. A lifelong enthusiast of Japanese culture and folklore, Xander cosplays as a kitsune yōkai on occasion, and photographic evidence of this strange phenomenon can be found at www.ayakashifox.com. He has also published a free short novella as an adjunct to The Atlas Dystopia Apocalyptica series, entitled “Come by Night” on https://www.wattpad.com/user/ayakashi_fox.
Ben Lang is a fantasy and mythology obsessive who loves monsters, adventures and exotic lands. His stories aim to include an awesome setting, a great monster and an emotive plot. He lives in Nottingham, UK at the sufferance of Megan who tolerates his over-consumption of tea and eternal state of foggy optimism.
Thanks for reading, good luck outwitting any monsters that find you.
N.D.T. Casale is an Italian-American author who lives in the United States. She creates magical realms for others to escape to and enjoy. Her goal is to write stories that bring joy, happiness, and hope to the lives of many.
When she is not hard at work writing, N.D.T. Casale spends her time riding horses, working out, traveling, snowboarding, and looking for her next adventure. She is fluent in multiple languages, loves animals, and is obsessed with fashion and fitness. She always ends her day with a cup of tea.
N.D.T. Casale also writes under the pen name N.D. Testa.
Lyndsey Hall lives on the edge of Sherwood Forest, one of the most magical places in England's history, and the inspiration for her debut novel, The Fair Queen. She grew up surrounded by books, and loved to write from a young age.
She loves to travel and try her hand at new things, but is most at home when curled up in a chair with a cup of tea and a good book, usually accompanied by at least one dog.

Gems of Fae and Foolery by Alice Ivinya has one of the best last lines I've read in a long time, and I will probably still giggle whenever I think about it in the future.
The Lucky Tortoise by Ben Lang filled me with nostalgia. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to tell her stories filled with wise animals and valuable lifelessons.
Feather Green by Jennifer Kropf had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I cannot wait to see where the story of Estheryn and King Xerxes will lead.
Apple and the Dead Forest by Xander Cross was beautifully descriptive and combined adventure, mythical creatures and the deeper meaning of life perfectly.
To Snare a Prince by Sky Sommers had me cackling like a witch quite a few times. In my defense, it does contain a talking raccoon, a magical hut, animals with all kinds of ailments, and a six headed dragon with indigestion. Fans of the Magic Mirrors Series by this author won't want to miss this one. Greta finds her prince charming, even though he breathes fire, eats things he shouldn't and didn't give her much of a choice in the matter.
In Blood of the Unicorn by NDT Casale a wish turns out to be dangerous, placing a kingdom in danger and forcing the princess to fight for everything she holds dear. Lucky for her, love proves to be even more powerful than the darkest magic.
Dimension of the Sasquatch by Donna White gave me Lara Croft vibes, hopping from one dimension to the next to go on fantastic adventures accompanied by an adorable little girl Bigfoot, who learned sign language to bridge the communication barrier.
The Fern Flower by Elena Shelest is one of those stories that stays with you long after you've read it. This story evoked such powerful emotions from me that it is hard to describe. All I can say is that you should read it yourself to appreciate the extraordinary talent this author pocesses to make you truly feel.
Astrid V. J. always manages to weave magical stories filled with valuable lifelessons. Willow Daughter is no exception, and I enjoyed this story immensely.
One Fair Eve by Lindsey Hall is the perfect example of 'you should be careful what you wish for', especially if it drives you to make bargains with the Fae.
Ten fantastic stories, ten talented authors, and one noble cause - saving our beautiful Rainforests.
Have you ever wanted to escape to a magical forest and, while surrounded by the sounds, smells, lush foliage, and ferns in the dappled sunlight, be a part of the secret world of the mythical creatures dwelling there? Well, then this book is for you.
In this collection of ten short illustrated fantasy stories (written by various authors), you will be taken on a fantasy journey and discover the world where fairies, unicorns, dwarfs, fire-sprites, dragons, shimmering stags and even monsters dwell – and what an absolutely refreshing delight it is!
All profits from this anthology will go to the Rainforest Foundation to support their work in rainforest conservation. The book was released on 1 July 2022 and is available on Amazon. I received an ARC of the e-book for an honest review, but I liked it so much that I bought a copy.
The writing style of the authors varies and did not all appeal to me, but overall it is an enjoyable read. The world-building and characterization are overall well done. On every page, the fantastical world of mythical creatures is melded with the ordinary and underpinned with insights into aspects of human existence. I would recommend this anthology for anyone from ages 12 upwards.
Not all the stories appealed to me in equal measure (as can be expected from any collection. My favourites (in no particular order) are:
- “Gems of Fae and Foolery”: An amusing story of fae and dwarves, magic and trickery, and how a good deed deserves another good deed in return.
- "The Fern Flower": A beautifully written, romantic love story with hope and valuable lessons, among others, that everyday miracles do happen.
- “Apple and the Dead Forest”: In this dystopian story three teenagers set off on a dangerous journey to save their community and world from total destruction.
"Dimension of the Sasquatch": I was totally enthralled by the dimension travelling, the adventure and mystery surrounding BB (Baby Bigfoot) and the dimension walker.
- "Willow Daughter": The writing style is beautiful and transported me to that magical forest. (This story is wonderful and is a prequel to “Johara’s Choice”, which is a retelling of “The Tinderbox”, by Hans Christian Anderson.)
There is something here for everyone and I recommend this anthology as a light, entertaining fantasy read.

Gems of Fae and Foolery gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 laughing stars. Absolutely funny! A hilarious retelling of the frog prince with dwarves and elves, and a surprise ending 😁
The Lucky Tortoise gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️ bewildered stars. The story is interesting but confusing, because the MC doesn’t have a name. He’s just “The Boy”. The setting is somewhere in Asia, probably based on a local tale. Sadly, I lack the cultural knowledge to fully understand it.
Feather Green gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 magical stars. I want to know more! How will this story end? A magical forest, a maiden and a prince, set in the time of Greece and Persia 💖. Maybe an enemies to lovers trope? I hope the full story will be available soon.
Apple and the Dead Forest gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 fiery stars. I’m curious about the rest of the story. Setting and characters are worth exploring further. And there’s Dragons 🐲
To Snare a Prince gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 fairy tale stars. My absolute favorite ! An absolutely hilarious mix of known fairy tales, interwoven to a new and exciting story. I totally loved it 😍 Can’t wait to read the next part of this tale in Enchanted Flames 🔥
Blood of the Unicorn gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟 unicorns and stars. It’s a sweet tale of good and evil, of the power of grief and unconditional love, set in a medieval world.
Dimension of the Sasquatch gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 inter-dimensional stars. Green mist, real Sasquatches and a walk between worlds 😁 I loved the world-building and hope to read more about the MCs adventures in the future.
The Fern Flower gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 self-accepting stars. The most heartfelt of the stories, this one is about scars on the inside, and how they mirror on the outside and on our view of life. I loved the way regional myths and traditions are interwoven with the tale.
Willow Daughter gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟 mythical stars. An absolutely enjoyable narrative, with a rather unexpected ending. I would have loved to see the opposing parties come to a peaceful understanding, although how this story turned out is probably more realistic.
One Fair Eve gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟 musical stars. A tale of talent, passion and love, and the hope for a better life. It’s also a tale of greed an deception. Doing the right thing always means doing it the hard way, not the easy way.

I've loved this amazing bundle <3 somehow, somewhere along the road of life I forgot about the joy of reading short stories and fairytales and I'm so glad that this bundle has reawakened that feeling. The illustrations were also so very beautiful. I would love for them to be published as a colouring book.
These stories will enchant you, move you, make you reflect, and make you laugh out loud.
I would recommend these to everyone!

My favorites are Dimension of the Sasquatch, Willow Daughter and Gems of Fae and Foolery. All of these stories have a great plot, wonderful characters and superb ending.
If you like reading fantasy, are passionate about protecting forests, and love indie authors, then do pick up this book today. Highly recommend.
