Epic Maple Bacon Pork Cracklings
Satisfy your crunch craving when you reach for a bag for your next snack, lunch or as a breading alternative. Our Maple Bacon Pork Cracklings are made with pork skins, maple sugar, coconut sugar and spices.
- 1 gram of total carbs per serving
- Pork skins raised without antibiotics
Ingredients: Pork skins, maple sugar, coconut palm sugar, salt, sea salt.
EPIC Provisions Maple Bacon Pork Cracklings are the ultimate healthy indulgence made from a blend of antibiotic-free, non-GMO, organic, and pastured pork that’s seasoned with maple sugar. Allowing more whole animal utilization, pork skins are an extension of EPIC’s Whole Animal Project, a “snout-to-tail” commitment to honor each animal sourced. What is a crackling? A crackling is a fried pork skin obtained from the shoulder region of a pig. It’s harder and crispier than a pork rind. Also unlike rinds, they contain small portions of meat that adhere to the skin, adding extra protein and flavor.
Size: 2.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)

My first batch included a pork rind with a hair in it.
A bag in my second batch was just BAD. There was literally no seasoning in the bag or on the pork rinds, they tasted like burnt plastic, and there was a clearly burnt pork rind in the pack.
I decided to give it one last try while they still had the $3 off coupon. Lo and behold, another bag missing seasoning that tastes like burnt plastic.
I would not trust these. I’m not sure if Epic has gone downhill since being acquired by General Mills, or if someone is selling bad batches on amazon, but I would not buy them!
These are my favorite pork-rind-type product out there and I have tried dozens!
Cracklings are amazing. And on certain diets like ketogenic and paleo, this fits in just fine with your eating choices.
I could only order the maple flavor. I wish there were other non-sweet options. Something spicy, maybe. Just a crap-ton of pepper? But maybe that's just an Amazon limitation. If not, Epic, get going yo!
I’ve tried other products from them and had decent experiences.
BUT ALAS these are just gross. I’m currently using them as dog treats because my dog can’t get enough of them and I don’t want them to go to waste.
I find them to be completely inedible. The texture of the cold fattiness is just disgusting. Tastes like lard with a crispy top layer. If you’re more tolerant of the taste/texture of lard these might be ok for you.
I’m going back to jerky...unless I can find a brand of pork rinds that taste better.
The ones we got at the store were on sale due to expiring in a week, so not the freshest bag by any means, but they were still great. The ones from Amazon are a couple months from expiring so it's not just that. Reading the other comments I honestly wonder if they're re-selling rejected batches here.
Regrettably we also ordered two boxes of rinds, but we haven't tried those yet...
