The Epilogues: How to Kiss an Undead Bride: Beginner's Guide to Necromancy Series 7 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Groom? Check. Dress? Check. Cake? Check. More cake? Double Check. Even more cake? Triple check. (Seriously, who left Lethe alone with Grier's credit card?)
Anything that can go wrong has, but all the deposits have been paid, and the menus are set. Mostly. There's always room for more cake, right? All that's left is for Grier and Linus to exchange vows and set off on their honeymoon. Their happily ever after awaits, so close they can taste it.
No. Wait. That's probably just more cake. Frosting gets everywhere.
Anyway, there's also murder, arson, and general mayhem. This is what happens when two potentates marry. Just cross your fingers they survive exchanging vows, and that the knot they tie doesn't turn into a noose.

*Note - I'm not saying that this happened to me, but some readers may want to grab a tissue for the Cletus part of the wedding march... oh, and Woolly's window writing... and maybe another tissue for Linus's single, perfect tear... again, none of these scenes made me cry, but maybe other readers are more sensitive. My red eyes are definitely from allergies...😂
*Note - How do you know when an author is extra crunchy, peanut butter good... When they write, "It fit with what we knew about the vampire-with-unicorn regrets," and you're like... yeah... totally... Loc 2729
Whiskey & Wit Book Reviews
I really wanted to love the epilogue as I have loved these books a lot, but it feels as if the author got bored of the characters in the middle of "How to wake an undead city" and just wanted to be rid, and this book was a forced afterthought. It ended being mostly about Lethe (and food) which for me isn't all that entertaining. Hood is a 2-dimensional paperfigure in this as well as Linus. I buy all of Hailey Edwards books, or I have so far since I discovered her, but it's not the first time a series is fantastic in the beginning and fizzles out. Maybe she should write stand-alones instead of series.
When I closed this book I came away loving The beginners guide to necromancy series a little less than I had before, and that is sad.
This series must be read in order. It must also include the spin-off series in order as they are intertwined. This is the reading order for both serieses. The first book is "How To Save An Undead Life". The second book is "How To Claim An Undead Soul". The third book is "How To Break An Undead Heart". The fourth book is "How To Dance An Undead Waltz". The fifth book is "How To Live An Undead Lie". The sixth book is "How To Wake An Undead City". The seventh book is "Shadow Of Doubt". This is the ninth book. I can't wait to read "Pack Of Lies"!
Grier and Linus are more than ready to finally get married... It's just the planning but that is a bit much. Too bad Potentates, Dames and/or Scions can't just elope! With Lethe as Matron Of Honor there is NEVER a dull moment. Now it seems someone is trying to derail the wedding. What can they hope to gain? Is it Volkov? Can't they just let them have their hard won happy ending?
