Evil Twin Kindle Edition
But he was born four minutes too late. Though it was Bane who’d led armies to victory against the scourge of the undying, now he must watch as his undeserving twin claims yet another throne through marriage to a princess of a neighboring kingdom. A kingdom that Bane had saved.
That throne should be his. So he’ll take it.
All Bane must do is deceive his twin’s innocent bride. He'll trick her into his bed, and once he’s planted his seed, the bride—and her kingdom—will be his. With such a prize in hand, he won’t care if she ever forgives him for his deception. It hardly matters if she does, because his evil plan doesn't include falling in love.
But his bride has a few plans of her own...
Want to read other stories featuring a villainous (but not too villainous) character? Look for BAD GIRL by Ella Goode (ASIN B0917YZ483) and BAD GUY by Ruby Dixon (ASIN B0916J8RVH), both available now!
***This book does NOT have a cliffhanger! If you have received a copy with missing chapters, please scroll down for the fix! But this should only be an issue for those who bought/borrowed on 7/31 or pre-ordered.***
How to tell you got the entire book:
Look at the table of contents — if there are eleven chapters, an epilogue, and an author's note there, you've got the right version!
If you don't have the entire book...
And you purchased/pre-ordered it: Amazon should have sent you an email with instructions to update your copy. Basically, you have to go into the page where you manage your content and devices.
1. Go to your Account page and click on "Your devices and content"
2. Then choose "Manage digital content"
3. Evil Twin should be there with an "Update Available" option. (If that option isn't there, you probably already have the update!)
4. That should be it! But when you open your device/app, you might have to remove/redownload the book to your device (Don't return or permanently delete!)
If you borrowed the book from Kindle Unlimited and haven't returned it: You should be able to do the same steps above and receive the updated file (if Amazon hasn't already pushed it to you.)
If you have borrowed or purchased the book AND RETURNED IT, but are trying to download a new borrow/purchase and you can't get the updated version: I don't know why, but Amazon has problems updating the book in that case. There are two options: contact customer service and ask them to push the updated file to you, or contact me (my website is in my Amazon profile) and I'll get you the full book.
Hopefully that should cover everyone! If you have any problems with any of these updates, or for whatever reason getting the update isn't working for you, please contact me and let me know you still need the full book. I'll be checking it regularly throughout the day so that I don't miss your email.

Also the carriage scene was hilarious! Kati, your mind is an amazing place.
I am jonesing for the rest of my fix. Please, Amazon, help a girl out!
Please be careful when reading reviews as the spoilers for this one could really take away from the beauty of this book. I am so happy early reviewer’s are not spoiling it.
Kati knocked it out of the park with this one. I was very frustrated with the wait for it, but it was well worth it. This pair of lovers became one of my favorite book couples as they made their way through this slightly warped, intrigue-filled fairy tale. There certainly is insta-lust, but after that all bets are off.
I feel like even giving a brief synopsis of the book would involve revealing twists. Read the teaser on the publisher page, add in two wonderful leads - an MMC to swoon for and an FMC to root for - an undying scourge, a lot of people who want to be king and queen, a bunch of shenanigans, some magic, and hot smex. It’s set in a medieval type world, where armies ride horses and fight with swords. I thought the characters were pretty well developed. I adored the MMC as the brave, strong, devoted MMC, but I especially loved the FMC for being equally brave and strong, and having so many layers to her character, including not falling immediately into love. She’s drawn to him, but she’s got a lot of baggage and it’s fun to watch her try to handle it while fighting her feelings for him.
I laughed out loud several times in this book.
Not many issues with missed words, typos, errors that we unfortunately have come to expect when we read online romances,. There were two places where I think a reader could get confused, but maybe it was just me and I cannot take off a star for them.
I truly loved this book. It was so much fun! I’ve loved all of Kati’s books that are set in this world, so much so that I may go back and read them.
This book? Incredible. Perfect. Wish it was longer but honestly it's a flawless read and I can't find anything at all to criticize.
The scene when he first realizes how badly he wants Echo? "He wanted fire. He wanted cunning. He wanted someone who could slice him open with a look and expose what he hadn’t even known was inside him." Be still my heart, a man who sees and loves your b***h side.
At one point she describes how she feels he listens to her and it's so relatable and because the author did such a brutally good job of showing how cruelly her family treated her it just hits you where you need it perfectly. "He not only asked. He listened. Her responses seemed to matter. Even when they disagreed. Maybe especially when they disagreed. He would probe deeper into her opinion then, but never seemed to be seeking an error in her thinking so that he could disregard what she said; instead he seemed to be searching for common ground and a path forward. Never had she felt so respected."
The difference between kind and nice is discussed by Echo and Bane and the whole conversation made them feel so real - oh and the sex scenes are absolutely fire. Including one sex scene that is really unusual and kinda different but very memorable and hot. And when he explains he keeps thinking up reasons to lift her up so she knows he's strong enough to protect her? Marry me please.
Anyway, the book is absolute glowing perfection and I can't say enough good things about it.
I’ve been loving the Ruby Dixon/ Kati Wilde “Villans as heroes” series. Dixon’s Bad Guy was published earlier this year (also on KU) and now Wilde has joined with a really delightfully fun fantasy romance twist on the idea of an “evil twin”.
Bane is the “bad” twin. His brother, Tamas, is the heir by accident of four minute birth, but Bane has had to clean up after Tamas’ pampered butt their whole lives. Tamas is in no shape to be king, and after Bane learns that he’ll be rewarded for a decision Bane made with yet ANOTHER kingdom, he just can’t stand it. He makes a plan to seduce Tamas’ intended, Sapphira, before their wedding night. It almost goes to plan.
Until he realizes that he’s not the only one with a twin.
And, he’s not the only evil twin with a plan.
This book was just plain fun to read. Bane and Echo have delightful chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtful attention paid to what makes someone “good”, or “bad”, and I particularly enjoyed the discourse on performative “niceness” instead of genuine kindness. I’ve seen plenty of “nice” people in their lives who are, in fact, only self-serving with their actions, and exploring that in this book was an absolute delight.
Also, it was spicy AF.
You’ll like this book if you like Ruby Dixon, Milla Vane, and very spicy fantasy romance!
HEA status: 🚢 I ship!
CW: Fantasy violence, nefarious deeds, performative niceness
I have been waiting for this one because the description really had me hooked and I was not disappointed. Big plot twists all the way through and a sweet romance between two cunning and ambitious individuals. I mean that in the best way. lol Definitely worth a read.

Please Ms, can I have some more?
If you've got the copy that ends at around 64 pages mid-sentence, just update your books through Amazon. It seems there was a blip from Amazon and the second half of the book is certainly worth it!
Some insightful lines from characters.
Interesting twist but you find out early on
I don't know if it was the length of the story that hindered it, or if it was the language around sex scenes that out me off at times . If you don't mind explicit scenes/language where focus is on steam, then give it a go
