A sociopathic kid with no hobbies focused on making money as a murderer Cool flick to watch especially if you have a dark sense of humor. A cliche of of modern society focused on neglectful self righteous parents. nothing else to say worth a good watch, good acting , good filming , funny story.
This is one of those movies you see included in Prime Video and take a chance on. In this case you'll find a funny dark comedy with a fun plot, clever script, professional acting, good sets and cinematography.
This is kinda similar to Jawbreaker, high school kids (and their obnoxious soon-to-be-departed parents) getting up to some dark behavior in a funny quirky romp.
One of those finds on Prime that puts a smile on. Highly recommended.
This happens to be one that I did see before I bought it. It was written by one of the best damn writers around. His dialogue is sparkling, interesting and top notice. This is an independent film that gives a good name to independent films. I recommend this one for your collection.

The plot has a great premise, but its development disappoints. Throughout the film I found myself cheering on the Detective who was the sanest and smartest character of all and not the teenage killer. All the other adults are depicted as a bunch of naive idiots. Sadly, the story relies heavily on their stupidity for the killer kid to get away with his crimes. Also, the idea that all the teenagers in the story want their parents dead for no truly compelling reasons feels too gratuitous and heavy-handed. Even the final (predictable) twist of [SPOILERS] the Detective's Son wanting the dad killed is just too convenient and unwarranted. Even if the story is meant as a dark comedy, it still falls short of the genre.
Interesting dark comedy. Definitely worth a watch. Would describe it as Risky Business meets Heathers. I would guess that both those movies heavily influenced the writer, Bob Saenz who did a nice job with the screenplay. Strong performance from the young lead, Colin Ford. Excellent direction from Jay Lowi and if you blink you might miss a cameo from comedian Steve Hytner, best remembered as playing annoying comedian Kenneth Bania aka Jerry's arch-nemesis on Seinfeld. I had this recommended to me and I'm glad I checked it out. Again, definitely worth a watch.
the words of a sociopath. this guy is a real sociopath, at seventeen. I would hate to see what he does when he gets older. he can even outsmart the police. at first, you don't think he is so bad, because he murders evil people, but they are not all evil. some are just bad parents who don't torture their children or mentally abuse them. and ruin their lives. a sociopath, told me these same words when I was eighteen , so whoever wrote this really knows what they are doing.
The movie did a pretty good job of keeping me guessing. Not too much is explained as events unfold. Plus, it's fairly light in tone considered the subject matter. Not a thriller but an intriguing premise. And it's a little "eat the rich" but the light comedy tone really dilutes that element. I turn off about 1/2 the movies I start on Amazon. This one made it through.
The supporting characters are poorly written stereotypes and the protagonist is highly unlikeable to the point where the viewer will probably be rooting against him. There are some dark themes that could be explored but aren't, as actions in this movie have no real consequences. It's supposed to be a comedy but I didn't laugh once. I kept hoping this movie would redeem itself by the end, but I wish I had stopped watching long early on.
