Eye of the Storm: The Guild Wars, Book 11 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
It’s hard to fight when you don’t know who’s the enemy....
The Dusman offered to let humanity become their servitors, but the leaders of Earth’s Four Horsemen were unified in their decision: No, thanks.
With the Dusman returning in strength, though, and steadily growing their influence and armed presence, humanity finds itself in a difficult place. The Guild War continues to rage, with planets becoming increasingly desperate for nonexistent help, while the Mercenary Guild continues to sit on its hands, despite Nigel Shirazi’s attempts to break the deadlock.
However, events have transpired in the galaxy which have, once again, forced humanity into the center of the storm. We have been deemed a danger, and thus a target for neutralization. But not by the Mercenary Guild this time; instead, we’re in the cross hairs of the Science Guild, as our technological innovation cannot be allowed to continue unchecked.
Deadly plots have been unleashed not only to cripple Earth but to assassinate Alexis Cromwell and her Winged Hussars, humanity’s only reliable space navy. And even if Alexis survives, that’s only the start of the Science Guild’s plan to turn Earth’s people against themselves. As the galaxy continues to splinter, there may not be any option but to take the fight to the Science Guild.
The Guild Wars aren’t over; this is only the eye of the storm.

Only problem is they can't write the next book as fast as I can read them. Thanks guys and gals for saving me this last 2 years.
I found Galaxy's Edge and from them recomendations to Four Horsemen. I'm 73 and it's like being a kid again when my parents got called by school wondering why my grades slipping and no attention span. Shoot check library dummies, I was reading 5 books a week. Sci fi and old time sports books ( heaven forbid they would write anything bad about our heros in the 1950s, like Micky, Willie, and the Duke. ) to bad all those " The ( any sports figure) story, books are out of print. Today more garbage they dig up on someone happier they are it seems. I don't even know why people read them at all. With world a dumpster fire I need to escape and these books deliver in spades, pun intended, spades highest tump suit in some card games.
Any way read the whole series. And when guild wars is between books jump to Salvage Title series, or Galaxy's Edge .
I had no idea there were so many good books out there again. Thanks again for a great read.
I hopped on with the Cavaliers and haven't let go yet. If this novel is your first dip into the worlds that Chris Kennedy has been the "build it in seven days" job slot, you are in for a treat. And maybe a new job, wife, place to live etc. You WILL get sucked in and lose everything else, but man, it is so worth it!

I must admit, I was eagerly waiting for Eye of the Storm as I was expecting revelations about the past events in the Galaxy (i.e the Great War between Dusman and Kahraman 10000 years ago...).
And the book delivers as we understand better what happened in the past as well as get some questions answered:
- where were the Dusman hiding the whole time?
- what happened to the Lumar 10000 years ago? (and boy did I guess wrong on that one!)
- who is running the Science guild?
- who is bound to surprise us time and again?
The book is a rollercoaster of emotions... Sansar goes investigate a system held by the science guild and discovers a deep plot against humanity, she manages to foil the plot and heads back to the system with a vengeance, loaded for Oogar with Human mercenary companies, a special guest and Dusman support, in the form of starships and raknars...
And yes, there is action, lots of. Questions answered (many of) and more questions thrown into the mix...
Can't wait for the next one as the plot progresses some more...
