After reading the first 2 Fallen Academy books I’ve grown to care about Brielle, Sera, Shea, and all the other main characters-the first 2 books mapped out this new earth filled with demons and angels and brought me into it, made me root for Bri and the Fallen Army and students. I’d say they were very similar to the half-blood series by Jennifer Armentrout, which I love, if not quite as in depth or dealing with such mature subject matter...but they were still engrossing and fun. This book, the third, let me down. It seemed to start and stop in weird places, gloss over huge questions and plot points, and even though it made me start to lose interest in whatever Brielle was doing it ended WAY too early and quickly!! I kept waiting for the “big” fight/finale the whole book seemed to be leading up to, only to find that third act was likely pushed to the 4th book (which I haven’t read yet). It also seemed to have the main characters do complete 180s on massive life decisions and ordeals literally within a couple sentences-like when Bri finally reunites with Lincoln and for chapters people had been saying how different he was, how he’d tried to kill himself, and even he tells Bri that he’s not the same man...but then after a couple words from Bri he’s totally fine and it’s like this past suicidal year is forgotten and his next sentence is pretty much “let’s get married! Tomorrow!” But hold on!!-before fans freak out on me, I’m not saying their love wasn’t enough for him to want to marry her-I’m saying that after SO much leadup for us expecting him to need time to accept Bri being alive and time for himself to heal from trying to kill himself it just seemed unrealistic and way too rushed, like Stone had a whole last half of the book that the publishers said “nope, that’s going in the fourth book; this book has to end happily and within 5 mins of reading. Just very rushed and weird. I’ll read the fourth and just hope she addresses some of this stuff!!

Still a fan of her though, and all her series.

Wow, this book was fantastic and the action was non-stop. Bri’s time with Lucy was interesting, and I enjoyed seeing what the enemy was like. My heart broke for Lincoln and her family, but I was happy to see there was more to her homeless friend like I thought. The ending was really rushed, and I feel like with all the trauma the characters went through, there should have been more. Excited to read the next book and find out what happens!

Lucifer kidnapped Bri and trains her in hell, including making new types of demons. Bri does what she has to to survive and makes friends with Raksha who eventually helps her escape. While in hell, Bri learns to combine light and dark magic so it is kind of grayish. Using light magic gets her punished as it starts to turn her wings white and pisses off Lucifer. Raksha asks Bri to take care of her family in exchange for helping her escape. Bri promises to do so and heads there first upon getting out of hell. She grabs Raksha's wife and son and with the help of her guardian angel gets back to Fallen Academy where she reunites with Shea. They then go off to rescue Lincoln. Upon returning to Fallen Academy, they get married as soon as possible...

This was another awesome book from Leia Stone in this series, particularly after that massive cliffhanger ending in book two. I've been hanging off the cliff edge for a while wanting to know what was going to happen next. And don't worry, we find out as we're right back into the story. Bri is with Lucifer and it's not pretty for her, but she's a strong character and if anyone can pull through everything, it's Bri.
This was a fantastic read. I went through many emotions whilst reading it, there was one point where I was in tears. It's not as lighthearted as the previous two books have been, but we are getting more into the nitty gritty part of the story now where things are darker. I'm looking forward to both Lincoln's story and what happened with him whilst Bro was trapped, and book four. Five fantastic stars for Fallen Academy: Year Three from me.

For me completing a book in a few hours is unheard of, due to the fact, I normally go for long books (500page), plus, I have a 3 yr old. But started this book at 10pm, read for an hour, and finished when daughter was at Nursery.
Loved majority of it, the only part I didn't love was Brielles' escape, felt the escape plan had too many holes yet she and her accomplice made it seem easy, especially whom they were up against!
Loved the Twist with Bernie, hoping he pops up in future book!
Can't wait to read the next book!

Great third instalment of the Fallen academy series. Brielle faces a tough tome trapped in hell at Lucifer mercy. She has to fight to survive and make Lucifer believe she is compliant but all she can think about is getting home to the man she loves and her friends and family. Sacrifices are made in the fight to escape home and friends get left behind. Great read, my only complaint is the book didn't feel long enough. Lovely ending and excited to see what year four brings.

Brielle has come a long way and by now we all know why Lucifer wants her. Time goes veey differently when youre in hell. A year without her friends how is she coping without them.

Something leads Bri to be escaping earlier than she had planned. With one more fight in her she has to save her love. Will she get to him in time?
