Corban Nash is a self-proclaimed data nerd with a sexy half smile and a set of abs that leave girls drooling. He developed a theory he claims will make two people fall in love. And after numerous tests on friends and family, it’s been successful for everyone who’s tried it.
The problem is, it’s never worked on him. And he doesn’t know why.
Still, he’s determined to prove his theory. The only thing standing in his way? His nemesis, Hazel Kiegen.
Hazel refuses to be distracted by Corban’s adorable awkwardness or his temptingly muscular body. He claims to have cracked the code to falling in love, and she’s going to prove him wrong.
From the moment these two rivals meet, their chemistry is irresistible. And what’s wrong with a little sex between enemies? But when they put Corban’s theory to the test for themselves, the results are deliciously unexpected.
Author’s note: Stand-alone romcom featuring a sexy nerd with a great big... heart. Tons of tension and witty banter. Super hot frenemies with benefits. Badass lady friendships with a widening circle of trust. And a romantic HEA that will leave you swooning.

Hazel and Colton are enemies of the finest caliber, but unfortunately, they both have a powerful case of hate-lust. When they’re in each other's company, it's like a live wire arcing between them, threatening to torch anyone in the vicinity as things between them zip, zap and spark. In spite of the chemistry, neither one has much social acuity when it comes to dating. They're so delightfully, comically awkward with each other that I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face. Hazel and Colton are my choice for winners as Most Adorable Romcom Couple Ever!
I love it when the writing is clever, witty and snappy, and this book has it in spades! Kingsley had me busting out in laughter while giving my heart the very best kind of emotional workout. Then there's Hazel and her girl tribe. They support and encourage each other and the conversations between Hazel and her gal pals are side-splittingly funny. And their snarky exchanges with the mean girls? Comedic writing gold and absolutely priceless!
If you haven't read Kingsley’s work yet, change that now. With quirky, larger-than-life and eternally endearing main characters, loveable and memorable secondary characters, crackerjack wit, and hit after hit to the heart, this book is a definite must read. You’ll cling to these characters long after the last page and be ready to dive right back in for a second read as soon as you’ve finished the epilogue.
I really enjoyed seeing the characters from the first book and I REALLY hope that Nora gets her own book and same with Sophie. And I would LOVE a sequel for Everly and Shepherd!! I thought that we got a really good and complete picture of Hazel and Corban (especially if you get the bonus epilogue) and I loved the way that their story is told.
Falling For My Enemy`s Hazel and Corbin are self avowed research nerds more comfortable with algorithmic data than they are with feelings. Both have given up on the idea of Love and relationships. What starts out as a contentious academic rivalry becomes a case of irresistible physical attraction followed by a growing understanding, friendship, and undeniable love. The H/h's individual journeys of self realization and growth are sweet, funny, charming, and heartwarming. Bravo, CK!
Hazel and Corban are amazing! They are so funny and quirky and perfect for each other. As somewhat of a "nerd" myself, I really loved this geeky love story. While Hazel and Corban both think their level of nerd is too high to make them attractive to a 'normal' person, they are beyond perfect for each other. As a pair, they are adorable. They fit together, they love the random facts and data points the other tosses out at inopportune times, and support each other as only they can because they truly understand each other. Erwin the cat is a perfect pet for Hazel, and the fact that Corban defends him just a vehemently, and sticks up for Hazel, is amazing. It's small details, like how she named her pet and how Erwin can manipulate her, that make Claire's books so amazing. To go into the detail on what others may consider mundane, gives the characters so much depth and makes them so real that you can't help but be invested in their journey.
This book is filled with witty banter, humor, emotions and so much love it's ridiculous that it can even be contained on the pages.

Confession time… at first I struggled with this book. Not because I didn’t like it… not at all. I’d already read Faking Ms. Right, so I’d already been introduced to Hazel… but she wasn’t the kind of person I thought would make a good lead character. But then I remembered June Tucker from the Bootleg Springs series and Hazel reminded me a lot of her. I’d fallen in love with June, so why not Hazel?
Boy, I don’t mind admitting I was wrong. Hazel is one of the most awesome characters. Her nerdiness is both impressive and admirable. She knows who she is and what she is… and even though sometimes it’s like trying to put a square peg in a round hole, she fits herself in without needing or wanting to change. She is who she is and she’s proud of that person. I love her strength of character, her enthusiasm, her loyalty and her no-holds-barred attitude. If there’s something that needs to be said, she’ll say it. Of course, to the world around her, that makes her weird, but to her friends and those that love her it makes her… Hazel.
But, it’s lonely. As much as she’s convinced herself that love isn’t required in her life, she feels that pang of envy when she sees others finding happiness.
So, it’s fair to say that Corban and Hazel don’t get off to a good start. They are in effect rivals in the field of applied psychological research and their theories around finding love and developing relationships are a source of antagonistic conflict. They rile each other and rub each other up the wrong way, which isn’t helped by the little pranks they pull on each other.
But everyone can see - apart from them of course - that they are perfect for each other.
Corban is the most adorable nerd. I imagined him to be like a geeky version of Clark Kent. He’s incredibly handsome and hot-as-heck under the spectacles and disheveled clothing but for all his hotness, he’s socially awkward and struggles to connect with women beyond great sex. Yep, he’s a god in the bedroom - but getting beyond that has never worked out.
Even developing an almost foolproof relationship questionnaire to increase intimacy in couples hasn’t worked for him. It seems he’s impervious to his own theory. The two times he’s taken it himself with his dates, neither has progressed to finding love. So why can’t it happen for him? Why can’t he find love like he’s helped so many other couples find? He’s the only flaw in his near perfect track record… so why?
There are certain poignant moments in this book where I could feel my lower lip quivering. When Corban talks about himself and his inability to find love or acceptance, it absolutely broke my heart. He’s such a beautiful person… so sweet, so passionate, so caring, so considerate… I love him. His vulnerability is adorable and you can feel that while he embraces his obvious enhanced intelligence and incredible brain, he also uses it as a barrier to forming relationships. Everyone’s always called him weird and different, so that’s how he sees himself. Heartbreaking. The conversation he has with his twin sister and Hazel about his parents treating him differently and giving up on him… I was a mess of emotions. How could anyone not find him beautiful? I just wanted to hug him.
Of course, they get together… although it takes them a long time to admit their true feelings for each other - more through fear of the unknown than anything. Neither had ever found a partner so in tune with them; accepting of their little quirks or strange habits. No one had ever listened as intently, or raised pertinent questions during scientific conversations. No one had responded to Corban’s random anecdotal animal facts with intrigue instead of confusion - until Hazel. She’s his penguin.
The only people unaware of how perfect they are together is them. It’s like they both fight it because they can’t believe anyone wants them for who they are.
Now, it wouldn’t be a romance novel without a baddie who’s out to cause trouble. This one comes in the guise of Paisley - the next-door-neighbour and best-friend of Corban’s twin sister, Molly. She is everything Hazel isn’t. Model like perfect features, confident. In high school, Corban would have given his right arm to date her, but now, to him she has few redeeming qualities that would interest him! And Paisley hates that. You know as soon as Paisley ends up with a key to Corban’s apartment, she’s going to use it to her advantage. Will it work? Will she come between this awkwardly beautiful couple?
Loved this book so much. It had me laughing, crying, sobbing… absolutely all the feels. The epilogue is just perfect and the bonus epilogue had my heart a flutter. Amazing book that hits you right in the feels!

Yes there's a silliness and misunderstandings etc. but it still works. Lighthearted but with an underlying message that it's ok to just be you and not have to change. Find your penguin!
If you're in the mood for something fun and funny give it a go. I will definitely be reading the next in series.

Absolutely recommended.
