THE BOSTON BRAHMIN SERIES
"A political masterpiece." -Reader Review
From critically acclaimed author Bobby Akart, The Boston Brahmin is a gripping series of an America teetering on the edge of economic and societal collapse. With social unrest sweeping the country, Europe on the brink of war and the U.S. economy under siege by foreign nations, a new threat emerges. The nation is caught in the crosshairs of a power struggle between wealthy oligarchs and the political leaders who claim to have the country's best interests at heart.
The Boston Brahmin was Bobby Akart’s first series. Drawing upon his love of country and history, he created the characters as direct descendants of the Founding Fathers. The Boston Brahmin story is one that’s rich in history, modern politics and timeless love of country with the fortitude to protect America no matter the cost.
Political suspense collides with post-apocalyptic fiction in the Boston Brahmin six-book series.
You will want to read these six books in sequential order, available individually or as a boxed set.

With the inception of Martial Law the country has been divided into ten regions ruled by the Citizen Corps. In the Boston Region, James O'Brien is appointed as Governor. This protagonist, however, feels more like he has been 'anointed' and thus the battle begins with some of the locals. The Russians are becoming more active and the presence of the UN troops is felt.
In addition to the intense action throughout this book, the reader is also privy to some interesting discussions concerning the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution. The beginning of this book contains a synopsis of the first three books in the series as a memory refresher which is most helpful. The quotes interjected by Goebbels, Hitler and Stalin concerning terrorism are eye-openers, as well.
Back at the Reservoir, Morgan and the Boston Brahmin are settling in albeit with a lot of added pressure from outside the perimeter. The reset of both the economy and society is definitely continuing at a rapid pace. And, the conclusion of this book elicited several 'gasps' from me.
Most highly recommended for the intense action, plot and well developed characters. Another well written book by this author.
Bobby Akart delivers again with the fourth book of The Boston Brahmin series, False Flag. He puts together an intriguing mix of survival and strange bedfellows. This novel picks up immediately where book three ended. I appreciate Akart providing a brief summary of the story from the first three books. That, and the list of characters helped refresh my memory and allowed me to dive right into this one.
We get an in-depth look at the inner workings of the Citizen Corps Region I Governor’s office, and how it conflicts with The Boston Brahmin. The President throws out a false flag with regard to the responsibility for the grid collapse when he speaks to the nation and the world. The Loyal Nine find more pieces to the puzzle and start connecting them together.
Akart does a great job of bringing history in without it being overwhelming. The characters are interesting and add flavor with their diverse personalities. The end caught me completely off guard which does not happen often. The only weakness I found in this book was a smattering of passive voice and adverbs which detracted from the action in the story.
I recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Bobby introduces the Mechanics whom, if you remember your history, helped the original Boston Brahmin in their quest for freedom from tyranny. He just touches on what their actual role will be. The people left at 100 Beacon have their morals tested to the brink. They have a lot of decisions to make and not a lot of time to make them.
Back at Prescott Peninsula they are facing a town of angry people, led by Archibald and Pearson. They don't believe the story that it is a home for abused wives and children. PP is waiting for the townspeople to attack, and they don't have to wait long.
Bobby has written a sequel worthy of the first three books. Also, I don't want to give anything away, but there is a twist toward the end that you do not see coming. This is definitely worth the read.
